What are you having for dinner on this cold, cold day? My DH has requested hot soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. Works for me, quick and easy!

We had that last night ;)
Spiral Ham, Mashed patats and candied carrots here tonight
with some dinner rols too mmmmmm

Making homemade Tortellini soup, ham & cheese sandwich! A good night for soup! :goodvibes

Pork Chops, Roasted Potatoes, and some sort of vegetable.

The kids and I will want some applesauce but DH hates mixing salty and sweet so he won't go for that. ;)

Marseeya posted a recipe for creamed chicken yesterday, and I think I'm going to try that over some Pillsbury Grand biscuits. Yum!

Sorry, sunny and 75 here today :teeth: It's taco night here.

We are going to have pork chops, three cheese potaotes and grean beans.

I'm not sure yet about tonight (maybe I'll get some ideas from here) but last night I made a pot roast with potatoes, onions & carrots and we also had some green beans. It really hit the spot on a cold night!

Probably take out tacos on our way to DH's softball game. It's the second night of tournament for the fall league. :cold:

And hot chocolate once I get there.

Having shredded pork roast smothered in BBQ sauce cooked in a crock pot with some veggies. I'll cook this big pork roast and then freeze most of it since it's just me now.

popcorn chix, noodles, veggie. I forgot to take anything out!

creamed chix recipe, pls

I just finished making a big pot of Rachael Ray's Chili. It makes a large amount so I will bring some to my parents and freeze some for my son in med school, poor guy doesn't have much time to cook. We will have it with grated cheese and I will make some cornbread. :)

Ya know...I ALWAYS list "soup and grilled cheese" as a dinner option when I get the "what's for dinner?" question from DH.

He claimed the other night that "soup and sandwhiches" was "lunch food"...and then proceeded to make pancakes for dinner.

:confused3

OMG! That's too funny! :rotfl: My DH rarely makes requests, he usually says if you cook it I'll eat it. Which basically boils down to whatever I wanna make so long as he doesn't have to cook.

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I love breakfast food for dinner as well, but then again, I consider anything served after a certain hour to be dinner, so I'm not picky. :teeth:

Oh, to answer the question, I'm making Orange Roughy for dinner, probably with some sort of rice.

Here it is (courtesy of Marseeya!)

2 cups chicken broth, 2 cups milk -- heat them together until it's steamy

take about 6 tablespoons of butter & melt it, then make a roux with 6 tablespoons of flour.

Add milk & broth mixture slowly to the roux to make a creamy sauce, then add about a cup & a half of chopped cooked chicken.

Well, after several days of cold, we are having a beautiful day here. Sunday we had chilli so tonight is chilimac--leftover and add some pasta--with some kind of fruit and salad and biscuits.

Last night was kid's make dinner night, so we had grapes, popcorn shrimp and Ritz crackers. At least it was fairly balanced!

Tonight we're having grilled cubed steaks (yes, it is pretty darn cold here, but DH is willing to grill in any weather ;) ), seasoned fries and green beans. Thinking about making a Triple Chocolate Cake for dessert...depends on how ambitious I'm feeling after helping everyone with homework, LOL!

Boma's Chicken Coconut Curry Soup and probably Grilled Cheese to go with it!

Pork chops, mashed potatoes, gravy, glazed carrots and cranberry sauce.
