If you had to choose between dinner and breakfast at Chef Mickey's which one would you choose and why?

I would pick breakfast. We tried dinner over spring break for the first time and the food choices were dismal at best ... I was not impressed and we had to pay a holiday surgcharge so it was even pricier than normal. However, my kids thought the characters were great, so we are going for breakfast on our next trip since it is less expensive and the characters should be the same.

I guess, if you were on the dining plan, my reasoning wouldn't matter though.

We have done both and the food at dinner was terrible but the breakfast was awesome

I checked out the dinner menu and was not impressed. We'll be there in Aug and it seemed like very heavy food. Prime rib doesn't do it for me when it is 98 degrees out. We're going for breakfast.

We like dinner, we usually book the 5pm slot and it's fine. I find the breakfast too heavy afterwards though its good at the time :)

Definitely breakfast over dinner. We love the breakfast food. The dinner food is fair at best. And after eating twice at H&V for dinner, we've given up dinner buffets at Disney (with the exception of Biergarten).

I've done dinner there in 06 and we'll be doing dnr again this trip...i find a heavy bkfast makes me too tired! My kids loved the food at dnr last time and my husband and I thought it was good also. The character interaction is great! I think do whichever fits into you schedule better.

I've never tried dinner but I am not a big buffet fan. But 4 adults went for breakfast on our last trip and was quite pleased with the food, sevice and the character interaction.

I have done both for many years now and LOVE both. Chef Mickeys is the best Disney Atmosphere place to eat. In my opinion.
But if I could only pick on it would be dinner. :worship::worship::worship:

We have done dinner at CM many times and have always enjoyed it. We are trying the breakfast for the first time this year. ;)

I would say breakfast. I've never had breakfast there myself, but know those that have and they really liked it. We did dinner last year and did not like it at all. However, we had to get really late reservations. I think they were for like 9:00pm. If you are going to do dinner, I would suggest going for an earlier dinner. I would think the food would have been better if it had not been sitting out. Plus they stopped bringing fresh food about halfway through us eating.

HTH!:thumbsup2

We thought the dinner was gross - the salad bar was okay and the soft-serve ice cream was nice, but that was about it. Everything else was mushy pasta or potato or cheese casseroles, plus some meat and one vegetable. Terribly disappointing. I'm sure breakfast is fine.

We are first timers too and decided on breakfast :) Though I have read good things about both! I just like BF food better than dinner and really, really wanted Mickey waffles! ;)
