We have our MNSSHP tickets and I was wondering what we should do about dinner plans. Do you have to use a regular park admit ticket to get into MK for a dinner ressie? Our MNSSHP tickets are for the same day that we arrive in Orlando and I don't want to use a park ticket for just a couple of hours in the park. The plan is to arrive in the afternoon, relax, eat dinner somewhere and then get into MNSSHP as soon as possible. I have two yound kids and they are used to eatting dinner around 6-6:30 so it would be best if I feed them before the party. Any suggestions on where we should go for dinner for easiest access to MK for the party??? We will either be staying at Fort Wilderness (does the boat take you to the TTC or directly to the entrance to the park??) or one of the All Stars. TIA!!!

Hey, we're staying at Fort Wilderness :)
The boats take you directly to MK, not the TTC.

We've never been to WDW before so I'm not really speaking from experience....

We got ressies for the Liberty Tree Tavern at 5:30--I'd definitely recommend trying to get the times you wanted (around 6 - 6:30) NOW for the restaraunts because they tend to go fast for MNSSHP--I got mine for Oct 5 back in June.

If you have your MNSSHP tickets you do NOT need park tickets for the PS.

Figured it'd be wise to get dinner out of the way before the party kicks off, plus if you have the PS's you'll already be in the park and can get your pics out of the way too.

We're going toi MNSSHP on October 19. We have a 5:30 PS at LTT - we want to eat early so we don't miss a minute of the fun!

If you can't get a PS for any of the MK restaurants maybe eat at one of the restaurants at the Poly, CR or GF then take the monorail over to MK.

Have fun!

Debbie

I'd try dinner at one of the monorail resorts-- Ohanas at the Poly, California Grill at CR, or the character meal at GF. That way you can be done with dinner early and not miss any of the festivities.

Could someone please tell me what this mnsshp reservation thing is about?
If its the new ride opening at Epcot I didn't think we needed reservations to get on it. At least not according to the articles I have been reading.
I am going in October and want to be prepared.
Thanks,
Mommary:confused:

I believe they are referring to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, which I think you have to have special tickets for.

Hope that helped!

Hil

YES! We are talking about Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.
I was hoping to get into MK for a PS without using a day on our hopper (we arrive sometime that afternoon). But CRO says we can't so we will be going to Ohana's (IN COSTUME!!, yes DH and myself included LOL!!!!) Then we will scoot on over to MK for the party. Can't wait. First timers for MNSSHP and I know my little ones will love it. I just have to get over the quilt of not taking my 2 year old on this trip! But he can go and we are all miserable or he can stay behind and everyone is happy (and he'll never know what he is missing). Shame on me; but after this past weekend in the mountains I know this is the best plan!

I did it, I did it!!! Thanks everyone for your input about PS's and MNSSHP tickets. I called CR back today and talked w/ someone who was obviously knowledgeable in that area and told her that I had found out we could get into MK for a PS w/ our MNSSHP ticket. She started blurting out available seating times STARTING AT 5PM!!! I said, "I'll take 5:00", so now I can get my little darlings started on the MNSSHP adventure early!!!! I'm so excited I can't stand it! Anyone else trying to get into MK early for MNSSHP, keep trying until you get someone who knows you can do this w/o using a hopper pass in addition to your MNSSHP ticket!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Be sure to mention you have tickets for MNSSHP to get PSs..I tried for awhile to get a PS for LTT on 10/26 until in frustration I said..."well where I suppose to eat prior to the party." Well that is all I had to say...the CM says..."oh, well we have a special block of PSs for those coming to the party." Well 50 calls later and endless hold time to FLA I finally get a seating..if I only knew from the beginning!

I had Crystal Palace ressies at 5 pm the night of the party, but realized that DD1 (and DH and me!) would need to rest before the party in order to be able to enjoy it for more than an hour. So, I cancelled the PS and we will take it easy during the day (have ressies the morning of the party at the PSB at Epcot anyway) and maybe eat an early dinner at the Pepper Market or somewhere else quick and easy. We have an AP, so we will be frequenting MK a lot during the trip! Did I make the right decision?

Now I'm no expert (this is our first MNSSHP) but I have learned alot from reading these postings and the general comments are to BE IN THE PARK BY 6PM or you have to wait until 7PM to get in w/ the throngs of other MNSSHP goers. Since you have an AP, I'd get back before 6 (or come later and miss the crowd). If you are staying at one of the resorts on the lagoon you can always take a boat directly to MK and avoid the TTC.

We are doing the opposite. Since we don't have little ones, we plan to stay at MNSSHP until it is all over...so we are going around 7:30. We figure we will miss the crowds at the start.
We have PS at 5:30pm at BOMA. When we did MVMCP, most people did MK PS before to get in early (we did too) and the crowds were crazy! From about 4pm-7pm the crowds on Main Street and around the park were enormous. It started to ease up around 7:30-8pm since the party people scattered to all the areas of the park and the non party goers were gone.
We plan to get in a little later instead of earlier :)

DD (almost 10) and I have 5pm PS at Boma for dinner before going to MNSSHP on 10/10. I'm sure she'll make it until midnight, but I'm worried about what she will "miss" if we are not in MK for the start of the party. Is there a MNSSHP schedule of event times? Are we going to miss out if we are not there WAAAY before 7 (i.e., should I try for a PS at LTT? Daughter doesn't eat meat, just burger, dogs and nuggets, seems like a waste of $$ at LTT)?

What other restaurants are open in the park the night of or before the party starts. looking at just grabbing something at plaza on main street
thanks

We have PS for CP at 4:30 on Oct. 16. We will relax by the pool all day and hopefully be fully rested to enjoy all the festivities. We are hoping that DD2 and DD6 will last all night if we play our cards right during the day!!!!!!!!!!

5 days and counting!

( I still haven't figured out how to put the counter on my screen)
