I've heard even after making a PS you might still have to wait. Then about hour for eating. Illuminations is at 9PM... Is having a PS 6:45 might be rushing if you have to wait for a table plus eat? This is for Teppanyaki (we changed from Moroccon to Japanese )

Hi again,

You should be fine...Teppanyaki, more than most WDW restaurants, is like an individual show. The slicing, dicing, flipping, and cooking all have a time frame. Even if you have to wait half an hour for your table, you should be out in plenty of time.

Last week when we ate at Teppanyaki we waited 15 mins for a table and supper in total was 1 1/2 hours.
Should be okay.

A PS is not a reserved seating! It's placing you on the priority list so you can get the first table that opens up ahead of walk-ins and other PS times that are later.

If your PS is at 6:45pm and you show up at 6:00pm and they have a table available for you, then you can get in at 6:00pm. If you show up at 6:40pm and your table isn't ready, yeah... you're gonna have to wait.

If your PS is at 6:45pm and you show up at 6:45pm, even with waiting 1/2 hour that still only puts you at 7:15pm. That gives you 1hr and 45 minutes to 9pm. That's plenty of time to eat and drink and be merry.

Relax... :)
