Hi all,
I need a bit of help. My fiance and I will be arriving in WDW for our honeymoon on June 3rd. We have scheduled June 4th as our "romance" day. We're going to have breakfast at the GF and then we're going to a 12pm appt at the spa for a couples massage and we have tickets that evening to see La Nouba at DTD.
I'm currently looking for a nice restaurant for dinner that afternoon/early evening.
Can anyone give me suggestions on where to eat? Possibly in one of the resorts or downtown disney. Just no Victoria and Albert's, please. We're definite meat and potato eating couple :jester:

THANKS! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

narccoossees is nice. you could have dinner at the ca grille and enjoy the view. theres a nice one on top of the wyndham palace, but i dont know what its called.

Rest. at Wyndham is Arthurs- you can find good discounts from Entertainment Book site if you want. Our favorite romantic spot-we go for our anniversary every year- is Rose & Crown to have dinner then watch Illuminations, if you mention it is a special occasion they often bring complimentary champagne!

We definitely have enjoyed wonderful meals at Narcoosee's. The steaks are cooked to perfection! We usually request the 1st seating, which is at 5:30, and have been lucky enough, without asking to get window seats, overlooking the Seven Seas Lagoon and the MK. When you make your PS, let them know that you are on your honeymoon, too, and then remind the hostess when you check in (don't be proud).

Congratulations, and hope you have a wonderful time!:)

Another vote for the California Grill:)

I'd like to suggest that rather than the GF cafe for breakfast, you dine at the Kona Cafe at the Poly instead. The food and service are much better. And the walk from either to the GF Spa is about the same distance.

For dinner you might want to think about Citrico's at the GF. WONDERFUL food and service, and let them know you are on your honeymoon and request a seat near the window. Narcooses is another great dinner option at the GF. Both offer "meat and potato's" type entree's, as well as some more gourmet ideas. Although it's not really "romantic", Bongo's at DTD has excelelnt food and service, and you could ask for a table outddors if the weather permits. THe California Grill is very good, but very crowded and noisy, and IMHO not romantic. Jiko at the AKL is my favorite WDW restaurant, the tables are apart from each other and the lighting muted, making it a very nice spot for romance.

Thanks Anne!
I've been pulling the menu's off the suggested places so I'll have to go look at Kona and Citrico's. Narcoose's did not look appetizing to me, but I'll look it over again. Didn't realize that the walk from the Poly was that close to the spa at GF. Thanks for the info.
Travel time is Disney is going to worry me a bit b/c I'm not used to staying inside of the park and using only Disney transportation.

To get to the GF Spa from the Main building at the GF you have to stroll along a windy path kind of under the monorail and past the tennis courts. It is NOT a quick walk--rather plan on every bit of five minutes unless you're practically running...it's got to be around 1/4 mile!

From the Poly it's a beautiful stroll along the pathway along the lagoon, just past the wedding chapel is the GF Spa. It's about the same distance, and a nicer walk.

Don't dicount Narcooses. I'm a meat and potatoes gal myself, but had the most delicious chicken there last week! They also have a beef tenderloin. DH had the pork and LOVED it.

The main room at the CG is very noisy and crowded but if you ask for the wine room you'll be seated in a small room with dimmer lights that is very quiet. My DH and I find it romantic.

You don't say where you're staying. You might want to have dinner near your resort or at Downtown Disney as transportation can take a good bit of time. Porobello's at DD is nice if you enjoy Italian food.
