Anyone every do a dinner show with a toddler. I'm back and fouth on this. If so which one and why? Thanks!

If the child is drugged and quiet I do not see a problem.

If a parent is willing to remove the child from the area to prevent disturbing other guests if the child starts crying or screaming I do not see much of a problem.

If the parents let the child cry and scream, disturbing other guests, and not take action to quiet the child down I see a real problem.

Try Hoop De Doo and/or a Chef Mickey's character meal at the Contemporary. Lots of action and food that a toddler would enjoy. :thumbsup2 There will be plenty of time to add a variety as they grow.:woohoo:

We took our 2yr old to the Hoop-De-Doo and he loved it. You eat while the show is going on, so there is always something to keep them occupied. Also, because the show is happening there is singing, clapping and laughing to drown out any noise your little one might make. We went to the early show to help avoid any meltdowns. He had the time of his life from start to finish, and he was singing the Hoop-De-Doo song for weeks after!

Thanks! That's what I was thinking about Hoop-De-Doo. DS will be 26months when at Disney. He is very happy when clapping and dancing to music, so I thought this show would be one he would enjoy. He did very well on our Disney cruise (at 14 months) watching the shows even the puppet comedian, which wasn't that entertaining for children.

I can promise you he will not be drugged! ;)

I think you guys will have a great time! We are looking forward to going again in the future.

Enjoy the show!!!

We went to HDDR last year with a 3.5 year old and 2 year old. Both absolutely loved it! It's loud, there's singing and dancing. I highly recommend doing it once!

I agree that the HDDR is the best place. We took our 2 year old and she was so happy. We have gone 3 times since then and are planning on going again on our next trip. We love it!!

And I say skip the drugging. I think law enforcement frowns on that!

Have fun
Debbie

I have taken my girls (now 17,12, and 8) every year since the oldest was 5 to the HDDR. Even as babies , they loved it because of all the singing, clapping, spoons on a washboard, etc. We still go every year because they insist on it!

We took our 2 year old triplets for my 40th birthday and they LOVED it, no crying! We made sure they had a good nap that day and packed some snacks in case they were not intrested in the food. We took them to the second show and had zero problems. There is NO NEED to drug your child, im actually hoping that poster was joking, when one is in disney they should expect to have some crying heard while there!

I have had more encounters with rude adults and teens than I ever had with crying todlers.:confused3

Isn't that the truth!!!

I took my almost 2 yr. old to HDDR in Jan. My friends have a three yr. old that came too. They both loved it!! We also went to the Luau. The kids were not as entertained there. I wouldn't do that one again with small ones.

If your toddler is manageable at restaurants at home they should do ok at a dinner show. We took our 2 yr old grandson with us last year, we didn't do any dinner shows but did table service every day. We scheduled all our meals around 5 and he was a royal PIA at all of them except one(he slept through that one).I should have known better because he is a challenging stubborn little guy on a good day. This year he is staying home and it will just be my DH, my DD13 and me at the Poly. We are revisiting all the TS that we had to rush through last year. Good luck to you.:)

Wow, I hope you're not greeting my child at the turnstile with drugs!
