Dinner rotation - west coast

I know we are at Lumiere's the SECOND night, does anyone know how our rotation will go?

We just got back from the West Coast cruise and our rotation was Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay and Lumiere's in that order. If you have Lumiere's the second night, I'm guessing your rotation would be Parrot Cay, Lumiere's and Animator's Palate in that order. One of the other DISers I met had that rotation and she really liked it as they were in Lumiere's on formal night and Parrot Cay on Pirate night.

The order sounds right, if Lumiere's is your second night. Your debarkation breakfast would be in your "home" restaurant, which would be Parrot Cay.

And there is no "free" day. Just a little joke from the other poster. (Although if it meant we got extra days, I'd like THAT rotation!)

Must have been a miss print! I don't think there is a free day. Looks like if you have pla rotation, your character breakfast is the first sea day after animators dinner, so that would be friday for you. Maybe another diser could confirm that. I think it is always in Parrot Cay. Also your debarkation restaurant would be Parrot Cay because you will have had dinner there the night before. Hope I didn't confuse you! I followed these rules from the Dis boards and everything fell right into place just like they said.

I feel like I have been gathering information 24 hours a day for weeks now, and NEVER heard of "free day" - that was making me crazy!

We had PLA rotation and loved it w/first night in Parrot (felt familiar after boarding and having lunch there), Lumieres on formal night and Parrot again on pirate night. Character breakfast was on Friday morning for us.
Our servers explained that everyone is on some form of LAP rotation starting in one of the 3 and moving to the next on the list...which made perfect sense once she explained it!

What I meant by a Free Day was not based upon finances, however it was meant that the day was not guided by a particular dining area....you could eat where you wanted too! Topsiders, Pinnochios, etc.

Really !!!But by eating dinner where you want to you do mean any restaurant / "fast food" place except for the three rotational restaurants: Lumiere's, Animator's Palate and Parrot Cay. Right!!

That was apparently their own personal plan. The dining rotations do not work like that. They would actually have to do PLAFLAP because the rest of the ship would be using the regular rotation.

How did you find out your in Lumieres on the 2nd night?

I was wondering this as well, since if a rotation is given out, it includes every night.

My sister had asked to be in Lumiere's for Formal Night, which the travel agent confirmed. But my sister failed to give me the whole rotation! So I was trying to figure it out to work on our plans.

Have never heard of confiming dining rotation, always has been "can request, but not gauranteed"... I have read that DCL does not set the rotation until like the day before sailing... At least you have it narrowed down...

Interesting. I have never heard that, we only did DCL once before and we got our rotation in advance then also.

My sister actually spoke directly to the concierge on board the ship today and re-confirmed it.
