dinner rotation attire

I know this subject has been discussed before and, I apologize, I should have paid more attention but didn't and now I need the information (okay, as you can see by my countdown clock I dont really need it yet but I am beginning to seriously plan)...Anywho, my question: if we have the LAP rotation is casual attire acceptable for the first and last nights or is dressy still suggested? And please, oh please, let’s not start another bru-ha-ha about “you can wear whatever you want because it’s Disney”. I’m just trying to adjust my packing to include something that won’t require ironing and will be easy for us all to do if that's what's necessary. Thanks for your input.

Hi Tomi!

On the Magic there IS no special dress for Lumiere's. You follow the dress code for that night in all the regular dining rooms (not Palo), and the first night is casual in ALL dining rooms. The only dress-up nights are formal night and semi-formal night, and if you happen to eat in Palo.

Yet again a quick response from Webmaster Michelle. Am I wrong that not too long ago the suggested dress for Lumiere's was more dressy? Has it changed fairly recently? As I recall the multiple threads about appropriate attire, I wouldn't blame DCL if they just gave up trying to enforce it. It seemed to be a real issue of contention with a lot of passengers.

We just returned from 12-14 eastern and I packed way too much! Next time I will just take something special for formal and semi formal nites. Really anything coordinating, neat and pressed for casual nites was fine! Of course, you will see the extremes of both-"dressed to kill" and completely inappropriate! Most people fall nicely in between! I found there was always so much excitement in the dining rooms that I rarely had time to notice others! It's a great trip!

Tomi, on the Wonder they do make the night you eat in Triton's (the Lumiere's equivalent on the Wonder) the more dressy night. But on the Magic now, since they have so many different themed nights, they have the same dining attire requests in all dining rooms, no matter WHICH one you're eating in. That makes it much simpler for guests to remember what to wear and keeps those who have Lumiere's three times from having to dress up more than any of the other guests.

Thanks Michelle, you answered my question before I asked it. We are sailing the Magic Eastern on 1/25 and I was trying to figure out how you knew which night was which.

Do you remember which night was formal and which was semi formal.

Sue on the Eastern I believe formal night is on Sunday and semi-formal night is on Thursday. On the Western they have formal night on Monday with semi-formal night on Thursday.
