We have never been to F&W, and have ressies at BWV for Oct 21-25 :cool1:

I'm looking forward to exploring the food booths as first timers - should I just forget about planning dinner ressies like we would normally do, especially since we have TIW? I'm afraid we would be stuck inside a restaurant and miss something, but I know the crowds are terrible at the booths on the weekends. I read somewhere that DVC has discounts to some of the events/seminars - any truth to that? Any good links to follow for this kind of advice? Thanks in advance!

We personally don't plan lunch/dinner reservations for the days we know we will be doing F&W. We pretty much graze all day and usually are stuffed after hitting several food booths. I think of the F&W Fest as a "tapas" festival. Most of the portions are decent sized. The lobster roll was about a 3-4" sandwich which is just shy of what you get at Subway/Penn Station. The cheddar cheese soup is in a small cup.

I've never seen DVC discounts on the seminars but we usually don't do the seminars anyway. We just love the food kiosks and the whole ambience at WS during F&W, our FAVORITE time of year to visit Disney.

My DH was teasing me last night as I told him about the new "fixed week" portion of DVC for Aulani. I said we just don't have a need for a fixed week due to the fact that we like the flexibility. He joked, "Yeah except the F&W. If we had a fixed week, it would have to be during F&W." He's so right.
