Just wondering ... good or bad choices for a 2.5 year old boy [first Disney Trip for him]

Saana
T-Rex
Chef Mickey
Rain Forest Café

Hotel has a breakfast buffet included, lunch will be packed, early dinner [around 5:00], then back to hotel for the night.

Thoughts

I've seen kids flip out at both Rainforest and T-Rex....some love it, some hate it, and unless he's seen one before, you just may not know. They are both loud enough that you don't have to worry about disturbing other guests. Sanaa is quieter and he may want to watch animals instead of eating...which may be fine, if there's nothing there he'll eat (like my DD LOL). I think Chef Mickey is a great choice in terms of atmosphere. Just check the menus at all of them to make sure there's something there he likes (or at least know going in if there isn't). As far as food goes, I'd personally rank them Sanaa (really tasty IMO), Chef Mickeys (often gets a bad rap but our one trip was good), T-Rex (meh but Dino's were cool), and Rainforest (somewhere below a high school sporting event concession stand). YMMV.

You posted this in the Aulani (Disney's resort on Oahu) forum, so you'll get more responses on another one.

That being said, I've taken my kids to Disney World since they were both toddlers, and honestly at that age, just go where you want; they will love it all as long as they're not over tired! That is the key! My kids loved Epcot the best, and sit down meals were few and far between (we did a lot of them at home, but at Disney we liked to play it by ear according to how we all felt).
