I have all our ADR's set for our Sept. 2010 trip. This will be our 1st Family Vacation and I am so excited!
My question is do I need to print off and bring with me all of our reservation confirmations or can I just jot the conf.# down and bring that as proof? I would hate to get there and them not find our ressie!

Thanks in advance,

I would definitely bring the confirmation numbers for you ressies. I wouldn't worry about them being official print outs. I make all of my ADR's over the phone, so there's nothing "official" for me to bring. I just create a list of my ADR's - restaurant, time, and conf #, just in case my reservation is "misplaced". Of the dozens of ADR's I've made, I've only had one "lost" reservation, and that's because the ressie-taker put it in the system for the wrong restaurant (which was determined when I gave them my confirmation number).

Bottom line, it's rare that there is a lost ADR, but having the confirmation numbers is a good back up to have with you.

You won't need 'proof' when you check in w/ your hostess, your name and # of people/time will be enough. If they can't find your ressie, then the ressie number helps to show that you did indeed have a ressie @ that restaurant. Personally I think a printout is more persuasive 'evidence' than handwritten numbers - but more than likely it won't be an issue & you'll never need those numbers.

You very likely won't need the numbers. We've only needed them once and when we did it definitely helped. Never hurts to carry a list but you won't need printouts.

All the times they couldn't find my reservation it was because whoever took the reservation spelled my name wrong. They weren't even looking at the numbers.

I also carry my list of confirmation #'s with me. And my DH has them entered into his iPhone. We have never needed them, but I've read enough on the DISboards to know that in the rare circumstance that the host/hostess can't find us on their list that confirmation # becomes crucial.

I've never needed my number, but I always carry it with me. I used to print them all off or write them down in a little notebook, but this time, I just entered them into my phone.
