Do you think it's better to schedule dinner or lunch reservations? I'm planning on scheduling one meal at Cafe Orleans and one at House of Blues in DTD and possibly Carthay Circle. Best times for either meal? Thanks!

We do lunch when we can because it's generally cheaper. But check the menu. Some places offer different menus for the different meal times.

Thanks for your reply. I just can't decide if it would be better to take a break for a sit down meal in the afternoon or evening. Looking for a little inspiration! :)

I usually look at the number of days I'm going, try to determine what entertainment is happening that I don't want to miss and lay it all out on a calendar for each day...then make my reservations around that.
If I know I have nighttime entertainment I want to do one day, I'll do a TS lunch and grab snacks in the evening...or a corn dog, etc.
If I know I have mid-day things I want to do, like take a tour or see Aladdin, I'll do a TS breakfast or dinner that day.

And yes, budget / menus can help make the decisions, too...breakfast/lunch is sometimes cheaper, or maybe I like a certain restaurant's dinner, but not their lunch, etc.

For Cafe Orleans the menu is the same all day long, so you could for either lunch or dinner and have the same options. HoB and Carthay Circle both have seperate lunch and dinner menus, so for those places I would look at the menus and see which appeals more.

Personally, I like to schedule lunches to force us to take a break mid-day. Otherwise we'll push to get things done and not eat until late and be cranky :worried:. But definitely look at what shows you might want to do and keep that in mind, Fri night gets busy with locals and dinner ressies could help there too.

I've eaten at House of Blues a few times and noticed it's less busy at lunch time opposed to dinner. Also there is a gift certificate you can buy from restaurant.com you pay $20 for $50 worth of food but you must spend $100 so, it depends on how many are in your party if it's worth buying.

I'm more of a sit-down lunch kinda guy. Usually, we'll eat so much that when dinner comes around, we're just hungry maybe a turkey leg and some ice cream. Plus, with the nighttime parades and fireworks, spending too much time on dinner may cost us some good seats somewhere else.
