We are going to Disney for my husband's 50th birthday, just the two of us! His birthday is February 11 which will be a Tuesday night.
I'd love to have a special dinner with some type of "good fireworks view." Last May, I went to Disney with my mom. We had dinner at Narcoosees, then after were able to walk out onto the deck and see the fireworks, it was perfect. It would be nice to do that with my husband except:
1. Neither of us eat seafood. My mom loves it, so it made sense to go there and I just ordered a non seafood dish. But with two non seafood eaters...
2. The service at Narcoosees seemed rushed a bit stand offish.

I've been to Citricos once and LOVED it, but it was part of the "dining with an imagineer" dinner. If we do eat at Citricos, is there a place we can watch fireworks from after, with the piped in music and everything?

Or do you have other suggestions for events/meals with "guaranteed good fireworks views" that we could do? I know about California Grill (nothing available right now, and I've heard mixed reviews about it/out of control children) and 'Ohana (I've been and it wasn't for me.) I know about the dessert parties at the Magic Kingdom and am also considering those, but I was just wondering if there is anything else I haven't thought of. Thanks!

You would have to leave the restaurant to see the MK fireworks.
The closest location with piped-in music would be the GF's outdoor marina Gasparilla Grill area.

Thanks! That would be in the same building as Citricos...maybe a better plan would be to book a late reservation for Citricos and have dinner after the fire works? The fireworks are at 8 pm that night and there is an 8:55 Citricos reservation available.

Pretty sure there is piped in music at the marina just under Citricos. Its a great view certainly, and the resort guests and visitors grab seats from the tables, sit on the landscaping walls, relax on the park benches, and stare at the sky which includes a shoreline monorail view. We were staying at SL ,facing the marina so never went downstairs but I could tell the people in the plaza were enjoying themselves.

I wouldn't worry about "out of control" children at CG if you opt for this eatery; never seen any and we've eaten there for dinner and brunch almost every trip which currently numbers 7 over the past two years. Doesn't mean it can't happen but my experience puts it down as rare. To ensure your privacy, let the podium host/ess know you are hosting a celebration and would prefer quiet. There is a room off the main dining room that has great views of the lake but you'll have to leave your table to see the MK fireworks.

HTH!

Capa at the Four Seasons is one of the best restaurants at WDW, and has a good fireworks view, although slightly farther away than the monorail resorts. The service, drinks, and steaks are all fantastic and hardly ever any children there!
