Dinner items for lunch at Le Cellier?

Hi all! I was just wondering if anyone has had luck with ordering a dinner item (specifically the Pan seared chicken breast) for lunch? I do not eat red meat (I know then why go to LC?). Just wondering if anyone had been able to order something at LC that was not on the menu? Thanks!

You would have to ask when you get there. Disney restaurants are pretty accommodating, so I would think you'd have a shot.

I would also ask the server if you can get that. When we go to Le Cellier, we always go for lunch and DH and I love to get the Fillet with Mushroom risotto which is on both the lunch and dinner menus. Good luck, Disney is pretty good at accommodating their guests.

After the change to 2cr for dinner, I doubt it--otherwise people would just come in at the 1cr time and order off the 2cr menu.

Before then, maybe, but I think it's less likely than getting a lunch item at dinner.

For the items that are on both lunch and dinner menus, do the portions change drastically?? Am I gonna get a teeny tiny steak for lunch? :)

It may be a smaller portion, I thought I read that it was, but we just returned from our trip on Sunday, and we dined at Le Cellier for lunch. I ordered the Mushroom Filet, and it was filling to me. Maybe a little smaller than the one I had for dinner in the past, but still filling enough. I also ordered a cup of the cheese soup for an appetizer, so by the time I ate the steak, I was full. In March we dined for both lunch and dinner, and when I ordered the New York Strip for lunch, it was more than filling.

When we dine at Le Cellier, we always eat there for lunch. We order the cheese soup for an app, fillet with mushroom risotto for entree, and I have to have the Chocolate Moose dessert. By the time we are finished, I am rolling out the door. The portion sizes (from what I have read as well) are smaller for lunch than at dinner, but you will still get filled up.

With your upcoming trip you should be fine doing this. I don't think that you'll have much of a problem doing this up through March 1, 2011.

I would think (hope) that once LeCellier changes to signature status for dinner only that they'll up their game on their dinner menu. When they do this I wouldn't think that you could substitute dinner (2 credit) items when you go for lunch (1 credit) items.

I'd suspect that this would be a problem for even those paying cash who may be willing to pay the higher price, unless they allow you to pay cash and also charge 2TS credits for those at lunch wanting dinner items. (Because this gets gray and confusing, I'd hope that Disney would have a strong policy to avoid confusion and potentially angry customers)
