Best place to eat dinner? I've considered Carthay Circle and Wine Country Trattoria...any others? What's your favorite?

It's my first time to DL!

I prefer Carthay to WCT (WCT is olive garden like...It's okay but very overpriced for the quality of food).

I'm kind of partial to Flos V8 Cafe fried chicken. Dare say, I like it better than Plaza Inn. It's a hearty and filling meal.

I also enjoy the Mexican place at the Wharf.

Overall, CS food at DCA is better than TS food.

I also enjoy the Alfresco Tasting Terrace. They serve some great small plates type items there that are very good. Much better than WCT although I know it's from the same kitchen. They have a great sausage flatbread, Chicken Caesar Piadina sandwich, and bruschetta. The meatballs are great too.

So far I'm eating at Flo's, Lamplight Lounge, Alfresco. Just doing snacks and small dishes. Do you have an CS recommendations?

Flo's is CS.

Smokejumpers Grill is a favorite. Love the onion rings there.

Cocina Cucamonga is the Mexican place at the Wharf area. I like it a lot.

I honestly find Carthay Circle to be just okay. Price does not reflect quality. I would save your money, do something more simple like fortune cookie? or pacific warf, or the rancho mexican place. And then get yourself some yummy treats throughout the park for a smaller cost.

I have heard really great things about the bread bowls from Pacific Wharf...

TS: Carthay Circle. I think it's the "fanciest" TS in CA

QS: Flo's or Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill

Sorry to hijack, do all the CS and TS take disney gift cards, or can you charge back to your room at Grand. Just trying to minimize the cash I need to bring.

They’re currently serving my all time favorite soup option - the tomato bisque. I was pretty sad when they changed it to a seasonal option, but I always look forward to the summer months for it’s return! My youngest is currently obsessed with getting the Mac n’ cheese bowl.

The bread is yummy, but it is CHEWY. My jaw hurts after one of the bread bowls or sandwiches.

This. I've never had a meal at CC I thought was worth the price. We don't even bother anymore.

You don’t need cash. I use gift cards. Mobile ordering on the app is cc.

OP my must do’s in dca:
Boardwalk pizza & pasta
Award wieners veggie option
Cozy cone veggie chili

I don’t like the Mexican place. I find the Dl side is better.

Allears has all the DLR menus just like it has the WDW menus. A lot of the menus have changed in the last few months. It really depends on whether you are looking for CS or TS. I will tell you that as WDW vets, we think the CS at DLR is a ton better than the CS at WDW. No way I could do a whole trip at WDW with just CS-- at DLR, I would be okay with it. The newest place is Lamplight Lounge-- I have seen some pretty good reviews of it, but there was nothing on the menu DD would eat so we did not make reservations. Being brand new- reservations are hard to get there-you would want to try to book that at your 60 days.
We have always liked our food at Wine Country-- we used to do that one for the WOC dining package-- now you can get a PTN dining package there. We were going to do that when we were there a couple of weeks ago, but we got a good spot for PTN a couple of days earlier than our reservation so I cancelled it. While we like it okay, we like enough of the CS at CA that we don't feel the need for a TS there. We have not done Carthay- menu doesn't appeal enough to me for the prices- I can be a bit of a picky eater and the entrees are a little frou frou for me. We stuck with CS our last trip. I really liked the Pot Pie off the new menu at Flos. We liked the Pixar Fest Items at the paradise Garden Grill--- the tamales and the mole verde chicken were both good when we had them. We had never eaten at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta before and we thought the pasta was good. Probably not what you are looking for, but we far prefer the corn dogs at Corn Dog Castle at CA to those at the Little Red Wagon at DL. I would just browse the menus online and see what appeals to you.

With one exception, we have had very nice meals at CCR. We are very specific with the servers about what we want and how we want it. Things come as requested, and the service is good/very good (especially when we get our favorite server!). The CCR Lounge is always a fun experience. A new favorite is the Lamplight Lounge (downstairs). Having read some negative reviews on this forum, we were hesitant to give this place a try, but are very glad that we did. We went with friends who are serious foodies, tried all kinds of dishes and shared, and everyone enjoyed everything. Our server was very friendly, helpful, and did a great job. The flavors are rather different for a theme park, so check the menu first to see if it appeals to you. We also like trying out the different menus at Paradise Garden Grill -- the mediterranean menu is still our favorite, but the other ethnic menus have been good so far, too.

Oven only eaten once at Carthay Circle but the food was really good and the service was even better. It’s beautiful inside and I really enjoyed the lounge downstairs. I think it’s worth checking out at least once and then you can make up your own mind.
