Great New show (I think) about WDW and Dinner Impossible with Professional chef Robert Irvine ...

Dinner: Impossible - Disney Dilemma
Professional chef Robert Irvine makes a special trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where on Celebrate Family Volunteers Day, he attempts to prepare dinner for 400 volunteers from across the United States in just nine hours.

Aye, its new. It was filmed FEB 10 or 11 of this year; the VoluntEars had a big party thrown for them and Chef Irvine did the cooking. The walkway between the World Showcase Lagoon and the Future World Fountain was blocked off and stuff set up there. Also, a stage was erected where I'm told that Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas put on a performance.

It was a heck of a week; we also saw Marc Summers (former host of Double Dare on Nick; currently a big-shot at Food Network) recording bits for a future episode of 'Unwrapped' as well as Drew Brees being interviewed in the MK Rose Garden after winning the Super Bowl.

Robert goes to Disney a lot, he actually was in Disneyland this past weekend and twittered about it, twitter.com/chefirvine.

Amanda has a writeup/youtube video about him in WDW a few months ago shooting what I think is the show you're talking about, you can read her article about it at Disneyeveryday.com

He is also usually there for Food and Wine Fest at EPCOT, we met him there a few years ago, you can read my article at Bigbie.net. We attended a cooking demo and went to his book signing and got to meet him, heck of a nice guy. Come to find out he lives near me, in Hilton Head, SC. Here is the picture we took with him.

We were at EPCOT that day. We have been waiting for it to be broadcast. We didn't see him in the park, but heard about it. We did get to hear some of the music from the stage. We left early because it was just too hard to get around and the weather wasn't all that great.

Wow - you are all so lucky to see the actual show and meet the Chef.
I can not wait to watch the show on TV ! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

I heard from a very reliable source that Robert Irvine is opening 2 restaurants in WDW and possibly 1 in Disneyland. I can't say who I heard it from because it hasn't been announced as of yet. I was told an annoucement would be made soon.

Haha, I was there the day that was filmed!

Yes, Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas were there for a preformance....... (No, what are you talking about I did not stalk them.... well not all day...
Don't Judge me!) haha

I heard that he taped an episode at WDW so I'm excited to know it will be on soon!

When my DH and I were on our honeymoon in October, he was there for the F&W Festival. We missed his cooking demo but were lucky enough to have him sit in front of us at the Beauty and the Beast show at DHS! I was shocked and excited! We didn't ask him for an autograph or a picture because after all, he was enjoying a vacation with his family...however I do have some pictures of the show with the back of his head in them. :thumbsup2

I didn't know he taped another one? I have one already stored in my DVR where he went on a mission through out WDW looking for clues and getting help from kids. If it is new I can't wait. I wasn't going to give it another thought because I thought it was the one I already had!

That one is old, I think before his little incident. Possibly in 2008.

His little incident? Ok you've peaked my curiosity. LOL

You can Google "Robert Irvine Controversy" or "Robert Irvine scandal" as well as check out wikipedia.

My personal take is truths were stretched, assumptions were made, and it all blew out of proportion quickly. I met the man and observed him for quite some time in line since it wrapped around close by, I basically had a 45 minute photo op standing just feet from him while he personally greeted and discussed whatever with whomever, he wasn't like sign, snap, and move on, and this was before we even got to him. I heard most every conversation he had with people. Then I found out he lives about an hour from me and had been right here in Savannah at Paula Deen's house the night before.

His cooking demo was great, funny, and very informative. I got to eat filet mignon and drink a couple of wines for free even. One of my best trips to Disney and it wasn't planned, decided to go at 8PM, got up and left, got to Disney after midnight, got up the next morning and went and met him...
