We are all going as a family and want to try and eat dinner together at least once, if not twice, while we are there. There will be ages from 75 - 7. Trying to find out the restaurants that will accommodate us the best (i.e. room to put enough tables together so we can all eat together).

Am thinking with the little kids that Epcot may not be a park some will go to as often, so would like suggestions for MK and MGM first (but will definitely consider all parks).

The one that came to mind was Tony's in MK as it has the porch area that has tables that can be pushed together and probably is long enough room for 20 (and italian food would work for the little kids, too).

Anyone done this with success (or failures). Would love to hear what has worked or not worked.

thanks!

We did it at Cape May's in the YC/BC. We had around 20. Twice, once for dinner and once for bfast. They seem to have the space. We were never crowded. I realize that is not in a theme park, but it did work very nicely for us.

50's will not be able to accomodate you all at one table, but possibly in one "Room".

Mama Melroses WILL be able to accomodate you at one table.

Liberty tree Tavern will be like 50's, in one room, but not one table.

Crystal Palace will be that way as well.

What you really need to do is get in touch with "group dining". They will probably require a credit card deposit for the reservation, and will also want you to take a "first seating" (otherwise you'll have to wait until the tables have all cleared, and that could take an hour!)

what is group dining? Is the same number for PS seating? We are working with DU, is this something they would have a better chance at getting as well? I don't think the time will be that much of an issue, early would be ok (especially with the little ones)..

I have a group of e-mail friends that meets for a weekend "fest" each year at WDW. We've had many wonderful meals, with 15-20 guests. That said - I can't remember many of them being in the parks.

We've tried Teppanyaki - two tables.
Pecos Bills, Flame Tree, Tusker House - we use several smaller tables and it's at lunchtime.

Now, for the nice dinners, where we have been accomodated very nicely by Group Dining:

California Grill
Ohanas
Jiko
Flying Fish
Spoodles

As for how to contact Group Dining, here are the instructions from WDWIG:
1) Call 407-WDW-DINE and ask for "Group Sales"
2) Let the coordinator know your requests.
3) The coordinator can make the ressies and, based upon the time-date-restaurant, usually you can be accommodated at one table.
4) You will give a credit card number to guarantee your reservation.
5) There is a cancellation policy within 24-hours of the reservation time.
6) It should also be mentioned a gratuity is automatically applied.
