Dinner before Pirate & Pals

What would you suggest for dinner before the Pirate & Pals cruise? We will be at the magic kingdom in the afternoon before the cruise. I'm thinking we would want salads (and maybe a cocktail) but someplace that I could bring an 8 year old with pirate face paint on!

We have done both the Wave and Whispering Canyon pre-Pirates and Pals- both would be fine w/ Pirate makeup. Both have salads- but not primarily. This trip we snagged Ohana- can't wait! IMO, i would check out the resorts on the monorail. If you wanted to eat at MK- def check out Skipper Canteen- nothing like an adventure for your pirate before he sets sail
