LTT or Chef Mickey's? Or something else altogether. I was planning on LTT but I keep reading bad reviews on the actual food there. We've done Chef Mickey's in the past and liked that but I like the idea of being on-site around 4:00. Also, we plan on CP for b-fast earlier in the trip. Suggestions for this dinner? (It will be 4 adults and a 2 and 4 year old). Thanks!

We love LTT, in fact when I was planning our trip for this year, it was the first one to go on the plans for MVMCP night. Rethink it and give it a try, you might like it.

I was secretly hoping to hear a response like that! I really wanted to go with LTT but recently all the reviews on the food are negative. I will definitely reconsider!

I would plan just to eat at MK, wherever you can if you want a TS. Just easier with the logistics of the party. Where there the main st area was such a bottle neck around the time of early Wishes, so plan to avoid that. And CS is very crowded and some are closed. If I were going again this year (I wish:sad1: ) we'd do CP around 5. Or LTT, but the food choice there doesn't really tempt me

We just did have dinner there on Dec. 21, the night of the last MVMCP of the season. We had a great dinner, as usual! I highly recommend it. :thumbsup2

How about Ohanas? It's close by and its great food, plus you'll be full for the night even if you eat at around 5pm before the party actually starts. You could also eat right in the park. You have a few choices:

Liberty Tree Tavern
Crystal Palace
CRT
Tony's town square

or

any of the counter service locations (but I would eat at 4pm when you are allowed to enter the park with only your mvmcp ticket). Any later, and you'll be surrounded by lots of people and long long lines.

we really liked LTT. We are eating there again in May before the Pirate and Princess party.

Not in MK, but what about Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL? We ate there before MVMCP and MNSSHP. Less crowded, for sure, and great food! For our first MVMCP, we ate at LTT, and we weren't seated until about 45 minutes after our ADR. Now granted,we lucked out and got a window seat so we could see the parade, but 45 minutes was a bit much, and afterthat, the service was S L O W.....

I booked Whispering Canyon before MNSSHP but I could only get 5:40, even 180 days out!!! I really wanted 5:00, we were thinking of booking 2:30 lunch and then entering park right away at 4:00 with the passes, anybody done this? I just don't think 5:40 is a good time, I will be too antsy to get to the party:goodvibes

Another place to consider is, the Plaza Cafe. I went there last year on Dec. 4, before MVMCP. I had a 5:00pm res., worked out real good. Plus I was able to watch the early Wishes, and had a good spot to see it.

May 1-8, next trip to Disney at POFQ

I have read lots about LTT & how they have the characters actually dressed special for Christmas during the MVMCP. Do you know anything about this & if the characters are dressed up every evening not just on the party nights?

We have done LTT before MVMCP and it's a great way to start the night. The characters are dressed festively and the food is sort of traditional Christmas fare. I've always loved it!

We are planning on eating at CP before MVMCP. But, I love the idea of eating at WCC around 2:30 and then entering the park around 4 to enjoy. I am now thinking "why waste my park time eating!" We will only be there for the party so.....I am going to check on WCC or CM.

I've eaten at every MK restaurant before a party except The Plaza.

Castle, too expensive. LTT, festive but hate the food. LOVE CP for the atmosphere, characters and food. LOVE Tony's for the atmosphere and food. The Plaza, for some reason, no desire to try it.

We prefer to eat in the park before the party at around 5:00p - 5:30p. I did try Chef Mickey's once and it was alright but made us late for the party. Never again did we eat outside the park.

Good luck deciding.

We will be there in the beginning of December. Will any of the character meals have the characters dressed up for Christmas?

Can anyone confirm the earliest opportunity for making ADRs to LTT prior to MVMCP? I know 180+10 for normal ressies, but I thought I once read where you could make an ADR the same time the tickets went on sale - in this case, May 1. Is that true, or do we have to wait until late-May to do this?

Well, it's been the case for the past few years so my guess is they'll do it again this year; you can book LTT and Tony's ADRs at the same time that you buy your tickets to the party.
