Where would you go for dinner and at what time so that you could make it back to MK for a 9PM Spectromagic parade? And no, Ohana isn't available :sad1:

We've enjoyed dinner at the Crystal Palace. We love that if you're dining during Wishes, everyone goes outside onto the porch to view it. It's the perfect viewing spot for both Wishes and Spectro.

Is Spectro showing twice that night? If your interested in a late dinner I'd dine during the first parade, then when you finish you'll be in the perfect spot to view Wishes from the porch and catch the second Spectro parade.

If you're looking for a sit down meal, how about the Grand Floridian Cafe? It's close by, good food and you can be back in time - one monorail stop. :thumbsup2 I'd get 7pm ADR if you're trying to make 9pm Spectro.

You should have no problem getting an ADR at the Cafe. It's a beautiful restaurant.

We are doing Grand Floridian Cafe for the first time. Can you tell anything else about it?

We actually find out when they are running the parad and we schedule Tony's Town Square right around that time. If you get there early to check in for your ADR (of which we always do), you can ask for a seat outside on the patio and I feel it is a magical experience to eat dinner right in the middle of the MK and watch Spectro Magic above the crowd.

The first time we did this was the most magical time we had on that trip. We still talk about how great it was.

What do you want to know? Very good food, beautiful restaurant. Popular items are the French Onion Soup, Pasta w/shrimp and their steaks.

Oooh, that sounds magical! We've never been to Tony's! Wonderful idea!!!:thumbsup2

I'd try Liberty Tree Tavern w/an ADR between 7-7:30 and when done just step out onto the porch and watch the parade. But, with Tony's above the crowd that sounds like a great option. Can you see fireworks too? Seems like it wouldn't be facing the right direction for fireworks.

Thanks!! Last trip I had a dinner ressie for GFC and canceled at the last minute, so maybe I'll try that. I didn't know that about Tony's! That is a good one, too!

Kona at the Poly or the Wave at the Contemporary would be options as well.

I'd vote for Kona Cafe. We always love our meals there and it is quick trip to the MK either by Monorail or the resort ferry.

What time would you suggest for a resie at Tony's for a 9 spectro/10 wishes evening? I'd love to score an outdoor table.

I almost always make our ADRs for 8:30-8:40. You have to get there at least 45 minutes in advance to request the patio tables, there are only a few of them. There is tons to do in that area anyway, and if you are completely bored, you can sit in the waiting room and watch Lady and the Tramp. We usually get done with dinner around 9:30 (I know...it is rushed), but it gives you enough time to walk up to the hub and watch the fireworks.

I just called to change my Crystal Palace breakfast ADR into someone else's name because we didn't need it anymore. I thought I'd ask about any cancellations for Ohana and guess what? THEY HAD ONE!! 5PM ON THE DAY I NEED!! Lovin life right now & just had to share!!
