Hi All,

Jan 9th Wonder will be our first cruise ever. Everything I have read says the restaurants are Resort Casual except Palo...is this correct?

this is correct... they request no shorts and no jeans... however I have seen many young (5 & under) wearing shorts... a casual dress or pants and nice top is fine for women... polo or non print "dressy'type t-shirt, and tan pants are perfect for men... we saw a wide assortment of "dress"... dont worry about what you wear you will fit in fine...

We're scheduled on the same cruise as you. We have a 9 year-old son and our friends that are also going have a 9 year-old daughter. Its going to be a big Christmas surprise for the kids, but I think I'm just as excited as they're going to be! Glad to hear you'll be on board with us.

I'm confused now. I thought from reading some of the posts that Triton's was a jacket and tie place.

Tritons is supposed to be, but our server said smart was fine. DH wore shirt & tie but no jacket and was by no means under or overdressed.

We'll be on the Wonder for our honeymoon, and I fully intend to bring a nice, fancy dress to wear one night. DFi (then DH) will be in a suit. I'm assuming that will be the night we're at Triton's.

Both will be worn again at California Grill at WDW.

DCL is much less dressy than RCCL. In theory, Triton's/Lumiere's are the dressy restaurants. In practice, ties and jackets are in the minority. On our last Wonder cruise, we even saw a father and son in shorts (I don't usually care what people wear to dinner, but that just seemed tacky, especially since "no shorts" is requested in the Navigator). But if you like to dress up, by all means, do it! My husband often wears his suit and tie in Triton's (and of course in Palo), and I enjoy wearing dresses because I always dress down at home. It's fun to dress up on the ship.

Just came back from Dec 9, 3 day cruise Tritons had some men in suits and some in just a nice shirt and slacks. of which I was one with trying to pack less. Had 5 people and had to get all suit cases in trunk for drive from Orlando to port. just got it all in with a few carry ons in the front. :rockband:

Triton's is definitely the dressiest, so something a little dressier than you would wear in the other 2... my husband wore a dress shirt and tie, but no jacket (didn't want to pack it). I think you would be fine with shirt and tie, versus polo shirt in the other 2 dining rooms.
