We've never tried Tony's Town Square but are thinking about dinner there on our next trip.

Our 12 year old son is pretty picky. He doesn't like anything with sauces or gravies. He doesn't like pasta but he loves pizza.

My husband and I like Italian food so we'll probably be okay.

Is the food good there? Opinions and pictures would be awesome!

Thanks a bunch. I need to see if they have that calzone on the dinner menu. We really don't like a heavy lunch but I do want to get my dining plan $'s worth.

I had read a lot of so-so and negative reviews of Tony's but was very pleasantly surprised. We ate dinner there in October and I enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. it was a little loud, but it is Disneyworld. The portions were big, the food was good and we had a great server. I say try it.

I'll put in my 2 cents for a "yuck" review....this was the single worst meal in 2 trips to the world. There are other places to eat...why chance it?

I had also read bad reviews of Tony's but my sister-in-law goes there every trip so we booked our ADR at the same time as hers. It turned out to be our 2nd best meal of the entire week! (First was leCellier - yum.) I'm pretty hard on Disney food - overpriced, mediocre quality meals are our standard experience.
But this time at Tony's everything was cooked perfectly and they even brought our table a 2nd plate of desserts when our niece came over (from her own table that had its own dessert) to hang with us. My DD is an extremely picky eater and she also rated this as one of her top meals (don't remember what she got, sorry.)
I would strongly recommend asking for the outer room with the glass walls - it was really beautiful and we could see the parade from our table.

I had a really good steak with a port wine reduction and the pistachio creme brule is the TRUTH!!!

Me and my wife are working our way through all of the Disney Creme Brule's and this one is top 3 so far.

I was a little worried about Tony's because of some of the reviews I had read on here, but my boyfriend wanted to try it so we did! The four of us were all very pleased. 3 of us had the chicken parmisan (which was delicious!) and then one of us had the steak (which he said was very good too). The atmosphere wasn't as great as a couple other restaurants we ate at, but the service was fantastic. We loved hearing "Hear Ye, Hear Ye, We're Now Seating the ___ Family for Dinner!" not sure if they do that all the time though!

We really did not like Tony's. Our biggest complaint however was the server so obviously that is an easy fix. My husbands food was horrible, mine was ok and the kid food was fine. I loved the restuarant itself, I think we went there on a bad night and will probably not try there again for awhile.

We did not like Tony's and won't be eating there on our upcoming trip. Service was slow - took forever to place our orders...and then forever to get our food. We didn't even want to wait for dessert by that point. The food was just ok. There were also several birds flying around the restaurant, which entertained my DD, but I was just waiting to have a nice "present" dropped on our table!!! (It didn't happen - thank goodness!)
Tony's just wasn't for us, but hopefully you will have a better experience! Good Luck!

The food is horrible.....this restaurant is all about location.
I also think it is very dirty for a Disney restaurant.

I LOVE Tony's. My experiences has always been amazing there. I told my Dfi about all the negative reviews, and he was shocked. It is his fav Disney restaurant.

I totally agree with both these posts. Plaza is a much better non-buffet TS meal at MK than Tony's Town Square. I haven't been to LTT in 7 years so I can't give a recent opinion on that. CP is good, also.

I always wonder how much geography plays in ones taste in restaurants.
I have been to Knoxville & IMHO you just shouldn't attempt any type of "Italian" food there.

The closest thing I can compare it to is Pizza Hut when we were in college....gross!

You know I never even dawn on me that this place was there?:rotfl2: ,ok we will have to try it now.

We were just there on the 9th and my family really enjoyed it. Our waiter was a comedian and the food was great. We ordered the seafood di? (forget the name)something - I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of seafood. I had read bad reviews, but our opinion is we thought is was great. My thing is you never know if you like something until you try it; or atleast that is what I tell the kids :lmao:

OK.. I haven't eaten here in years so I can't comment on the food...:rolleyes1 but I just wanted to post an observation..Of all the dining reviews I have ever read (and I have read a LOT ;) ) this is a place that either people absolutely HATE:mad: or absolutely LOVE:lovestruc . Not much in between. I am seriously interested in adding this to our list in June just to see in which group we fall in. :goodvibes
