What are the chances of getting a porch seat for a 7:30 reservation to see the Electric Parade...is this something I could request in advance?

We ate there in December. It was cold so no porch seating but we did sit by the window and eat and watch. We just asked when we checked in.

Unfortunately, you most likely won't be able to see much from there even if you get seated there. The sidewalk in front will have lots of people standing on it...and there will be others walking by to exit the park since the road is blocked off from walkers.

We did! It was the highlight of our trip:goodvibes

My son loves the electrical parade- upon check in I asked at the podium if at all possible we would like to sit outside and :wizard: they were happy to seat us!

We had an excellent view and it was sooo much fun to watch from our seats, the floats went right by us just a couple feet away.

Some of the crowd tried to ooze up onto the veranda (in fact standing right in front of us), but the CM's were really polite and simply asked people to vacate the veranda where people were eating.

I am hoping to do a repeat this May:thumbsup2

Is the porch right at street level or is there a second story porch? Thanks for the info!

The porch is not street level, more like a couple of steps up, so it sits a bit above the curb level. It's not a full story or even really deck level, kinda like a little wrap around porch. I am short and was able to see everything seated-even with all the folks standing at curb-side.

there is a railing, my youngest sat on my lap and could see perfect:goodvibes

I'm glad they kept the view clear! I've seen crowds in front of there before...but its great they are giving Tony's guests a great view :)
