Wondering if anyone has eaten at the Royal Table for Dinner and what your thoughts were?

I'd be interested too since we have ressies for 10/10.

We leave this thursday and have dinner there on May 9th. I would be more than happy to let you know and maybe even take a few pictures. I know I have read many disappointing reviews on the dinner. But I'm not losing hope! I will reply back later next week.

We ate there January 31, 2008. First you go inside the Castle and take photos with Cinderella. Very beautiful Hall to have them done in, be sure to look up near the window ledge to see Gus and Jacque watching you. They'll bring your photo in a special holder to your table about 1/2 way through your meal (note to Disney....because the tables are so small and overcrowded with FOOD and DRINK....how's about keeping those photos safe for us downstairs and let us get them when we leave??? Yes, I was forever rescuing those photos from anywhere I set them down, lol).

The food is decent.....the ambience is excellent you're in the Castle! There is so much to look at and oooh and ahh over in the castle, that you forget you've been waiting over 30 minutes and they haven't even brought your salad yet. Sigh. Ok, we were tired, but seriously, I know what time we went in and what time we looked at the watch and asked what was taking so long. I know many have bashed the food, but it wasn't bad....it just wasn't great, like you were expecting because you're IN THE CASTLE! Now...we had 7:00pm reservations, and were still eating when the fireworks went off above/around the castle. THAT was pretty cool. The "show"....eh, not so special. Fairy Godmother and Perla come out and dance and run around, Fairy Godmother gets all the kids to raise the plastic wands they got in the air and repeat after her. No stopping to talk to you, no way to take photos (ok, I did take them, but they moved so fast and the light was so low, none of the photos came out and the video was pretty tough to do with all the columns and such getting in the way, it's a BIG room and FG is everywhere.

Was it worth it....yes, I have absolutely no regrets for having done it. Was it worth it money wise, not even close. But, I think if you have a Princess loving/castle loving child, then you MUST do the castle once. We won't be doing it again, there are just too many other choices out there. If you don't a Princess/Castle fan, don't bother.

We too had dinner ressies at 7:15. The food was great, service was awesome, and it's neat in the castle. The boys are given a sword and the girls a plastic wand, but I must say the words "Royal Table" rubbed off within a couple hours.
Cinderella pics were taken as you came in for your resv but that's it with her. I thought she would come around to the tables but, no. When dinner actually began the mice came around and did pics and autos if you wanted. Fairy Godmother did a dance/song "bippity boppity boo" that was cute. She disappeared quickly and you were left to eat and enjoy your meal. For my family of 5 it was @ 200$ and I have to say it wasn't worth it really. I was hoping for more of an "experience" for the money. I don't regret it, but I would say do it if your child is REALLY into princesses, otherwise think @ it if you're paying oop. I would do it on the DDP though. Then it would be worth it to me.
One nice thing was: when we came out of the castle, wishes was going to begin in 20 min. We weren't allowed to be on the rampway, but we sure did get a great viewing area just by standing in front of the castle. It wasn't cramped and we didn't have to fight the crowds for a spot. Hope this was helpful to someone!

We went here on our first night of free dining last year and it was GREAT! The corn and crab soup was AWESOME - definitely the star of the meal. The bread and butters were good too - the service was perfect. It made me laugh to hear the server use "my lady" and "diet pepsi" in the same sentence. :rotfl:

We left just a bit before wishes as well (about 15 minutes or so) and the ramp was closed off but we were able to saunter down it to the viewing area. This was just such a magical day for me and eating in the castle was a great way to end it!
