Dinner at ohana

The last two times we did 'Ohana, July 2018 and around T-Day 2018, they had the cocoanut race and musician there even though our reservations were after 8:30 PM. Like PPs, the race was done only once for the time we were there but the live music happened twice; the man is getting up in age but seems very calm and able to get the "crowd" up on their feet:).

If you are just looking for a nice place to eat, O'hana does not fit the bill. Loud, terrible service, pounds of greasy food piled on your plates. If you need a restaurant in the MK area, any restaurant at Grand Floridian or Contemporary will be a nice place to eat.

We are two adults and passing on Ohana's this trip. Last two trips it was just so-so for dinner. It can be loud.

In my opinion the noise is not an issue. The real problem is who eats dinner so early. :)

When we went we were seated along the aisle, and yes, it was not pleasant having the coconut race go on so close to your table. Ours was bumped several times. It was loud and annoying. I thought the food was just ok, but my kids really liked it (although they were not the slightest bit interested in the race or any of the other entertainment). We are going again this trip because the kids enjoy the food. If I were going with just adults, I would pick another place. As others have suggested, maybe one of the restaurants at GF. There are also some really good places in Disney Springs.

so I finally found a reservation at Ohana for 3:50 So I have been reading about the kids running with the coconuts And that the restaurant is very loud. Our dinner will be adults only will it be real loud and crazy or is it not that bad.Worried about noise level we just want a nice place to eat.Anybody who has been there please let me know.
Thanks Leslie
It wasn’t loud and crazy when we were there for dinner in July. The coconut races were tame and quite orderly actually. We were a table of adults and were not bothered by children or anyone gor that matter.

The noodles were heavenly as were the Mai Tai and the Lapu Lapu.

I think each place can be loud given who is there. That can be at Disney or not. They normally have one “game” during dinner and it does get exciting for the kids and those watching it. But you are at Disney, if you got to any place you will see kids get excited for one reason or another!
We love Ohana! The food is good and nicely paced after a day at the parks.
