Hi. Because we have Free Dining, we want to try something different. Can anyone give their opinion of Maya Grill at CSR?

We did Maya our first night last fall and it was our favorite meal all trip. The food was great, and service even better. It was my parents anniversary and they went all out to help us celebrate. It is absolutely a hidden gem in our opinion, and I'd venture to say one of the best meals we've ever had at WDW. Do it!!

I was very pleasantly surprised at Maya Grill! The food was very good and the service was excellent.

my family had a terrible expereince there.
the food was decent but it was the service that was awful.
there were 9 of us and we were about the only people there.
we said we could be broken up into two tables but they insisted on squishing us into one table and we were short one chair.
my sister and i literally shared a chair and a sliver of booth.
the waiter was rude and after he forgot to get my niece's drink twice she started crying because everyone else had a drink and she was thirsty (2yrs4mos at the time). when the waiter did bring the drink he forcefully gave it to her and didn't hold onto it long enough for her to get her hands on it so it dropped but luckily it was in a kids cup with a lid.
the waiter then would not take our dessert orders until he cleared the table of EVERYTHING.
and i mean EVERYTHING. he took our unused silverware that we could have used for our dessert as well as our cups!
during this time my sister became slightly ill and asked us to bring her dessert back to the room for her to have later and she went back to the room.
then the waiter refused to give us her dessert in a container.

that was just one of several terrible experiences we had while staying at CSR.

Back in 2012 we stayed at CSR and the reviews of Maya Grill were terrible. We never did eat there to see for ourselves. As far as I know, they've turned things around and the quality of their menu offerings has improved significantly. If you're staying there, I'd give it a try!

We ate there last year and had a good meal, I would go back for sure but I haven't rushed back so far
