Dinner at Contemporary

We are eating dinner at Contemporary, is there anything to do at resort after dinner? Fireworks? Can you see water show?

Where exactly are you eating dinner? (Sounds silly but if you’re at CA grill you have access to a special fireworks area.)

The Electrical Water Pagent makes its stop at CR at approx 10:05pm. Many great viewing areas on the Bay Lake side around the beach/boat dock/marina area.

If your date is after 7/6 when Happily Ever Hour shifts to 10pm, keep an eye on the app or for reports on how they’ll adjust EWP times. The app currently still lists EWP at 10:05 pm 7/6+, but that will change since they won’t run them at the same time.

There is an outdoor patio on the far end of the 4th floor (opposite end of same floor as Chef Mickey's) where we enjoyed watching the fireworks the last time we stayed there. Avoids the crowds exiting and several places to sit. Electric Water Pageant is on the lake is also fun to watch. Our room was on the lake side so we could watch the Electric Parade from our outdoor patio. I would imagine you can just walk outside by the pool areas to watch as well. As someone else mentioned, the time shifts around based on when the MK fireworks show/park hours.

Some nice gift shops also on the 4th floor. Not really much else to do there. The floor numbering relates to the difference in elevation on the property. The check-in desk is on the lowest level when you enter from the street, I assume that is considered the '1st floor'.

Depending on how early you are eating, you can also hop the monorail and visit Polynesian or Floridian prior to the fireworks.

Officially it is 4 hours for your ADR, and they will often not let you in to park more than 1- 2 hours before your ADR time. However there is no way for the parking lots to be managed so you will not be towed if you park within a parking space.

Please be considerate of other guests and don't plan to park at the CR vs using the normal TTC parking or WDW transportation options to access MK.

Contempo Cafe is the quick service restaurant & has several desserts & a few ice cream treats. There is no ice cream shop.

Depending on what time your reservation is you can watch the fireworks from or watch the Electrical water Pageant from there when it passes by. There’s a lot of cool shops and the area where the boats dock is pretty nice
