Can anyone who has had dinner at Alfredo's in Italy at Epcot recently share their experience? I just booked dinner there for the Candlelight Processional and have no idea what to expect.

Thanks for any help! :)

While not the worst place to eat in Epcot (that would be Lotus Blossom Cafe), it is down there at the bottom.

The food is sub-par in comparision to the other eateries in World Showcase, the service is slow and the prices are too high (even with the disney markup) for what you get. Olive Garden is superior.

My experiences with Alfredo's: food is comparable to a Stouffer's frozen dinner.

Our impression -- great calamari, fantastic fettucine alfredo, delicious tiramisu and excellent wine list!

I live with a proud Italian and she will eat at Alfredo's. I think the alfredo is very good ( it does not get stickey after 5 min). I also think the other menu items are very good. If you like Italian you will like this place. I also disaree that the service is slow. If anythink it can take some time to get sat, the place is always busy, but once you sit down the service moves along. Give it a try, we do every year and have never been unhappy.

We ate there a couple of weeks ago 9/17 for dinner and all 4 of us enjoyed it. We had dinner ADRS for 7pm and were seated right away. It was busy but our waiter was very good and moved things along. The rools that they give you to dip into olive oil with fresh cheese was excellent. I could have just made a meal out of them alone. The calamari was good I thought and the tomato with the bufula cheese and olive oil were very tasty. I had the pork shank(it was huge :earseek:) which I thought was very good and very tender, it fell right off the bone. My Dh had the veal and he enjoyed it very much and I had a taste of it and it was good. The deserts were good also . I had an italian cheesecake I forgot what it was called?. It was refreshing and my husband had an cannoli, he said that it was alright. We were on the free dining plan but even if I had to pay for it I would go back to eat there. :flower:

It's our all time favorite WDW restaurant. Try the fettucine, and if you like calamari, I recommend that too. :earsboy:

::MickeyMo DBF and I love Alfredo's. It's always a must on our list. :::knock on wood::: We've never had a "miss" experience like some have had. Their veal is delicious and their pasta is so fresh. We think it's great! There are so many mixed reviews on this place, it really all depends on the person. ::MinnieMo

I have to agree with the post(s) that said Alfredo's is overpriced. The recipe for the Fetuccine Alfredo is in one of the Disney cookbooks. I think that is a mch better value. I prefer Chefs de France or Rose and Crown, but if I were you, I'd probably go to Alfredo's myself. Loving Italian food as I do, I couldn't resist eating there. It is very authentic. I have also eaten at the Alfredo's in Italy. The atmosphere in Disney is much nicer, but the service, prices, and attitude regarding pricing are similar.

We are picky about Italian food (didn't like Mama Melrose's) but always enjoy our lunch at Alfredo's. It gets too busy at dinner time.

Here's my blurb on Alfredo's from my recent dining review:

L’Originale Alfredo di Roma (dinner) in the Italy Pavilion in World Showcase ties with Marrakesh as far as quality of food. The atmosphere was fun, particularly the strolling accordion player who played the theme from The Godfather and also Volare, among other songs. Our server was lovely and recommended the mozzarella caprese appetizer over the Caesar salad. The bread that came with the meal was delicious when dipped in olive oil that had been infused with chunks of parmesan cheese. The fettuccine Alfredo was just right: not runny and not gloppy. I would go there again.

Granted it wasn't recent (3 years ago!), but we had an excellent experience there. I've been to Italy, and I thought their Italian food was quite similar. The tiramisu is excellent!

I think restaurants are hard to compare. Everyone has different tastes and standards. For instance, I really don't care for 'Ohanas, but it's so popular. Also, some restaurants have off nights.

I try not to rely on reviews here, but to try places and to see if *I* like them.

It is a must do for us each trip (I would eat there twice if my DH allowed me to do so). We both love the Fettuccine Alfredo. We live about 3 1/2 hours away from NYC and there is an Alfredo's there. I keep asking my DH if we can drive over for the day just to have dinner at Alfredo's. He said he thinks it is a bit far for dinner.

My DH ate there during our trip last fall, and it was his all-time best dining experience at WDW ever. He said the food was great (he had veal), the service was great, and the seating out on the patio was beautiful.

Where was I? Napping, of course. But lucky me, I still get to hear him rave about it a whole year later! You can be sure we'll be going there on our next trip...

We just got back from eating at Alfredo's-Wonderful Experience!!
The bufala cheese and tomato appetizer was aweseom and the rolls and olive oil dipping sauce was incredible. Andrea one of our servers brought us out hot rolls which were to die for. The veal scallopini was awesome as well as the potatoes that came with. The fettucini was incredible. There was 6 adults and 1 child in our party. The only thing was that my DD could not order an appitizer of the adult menu as she was able to at other TS restaurants like Kona Cafe and le Cellier. We were on the dining plan by the way.
The tiramusu and chocolate mousse was incredible for dessert ::MickeyMo

It is the worst place we have ever eaten at within the entire WDW property.
Don't waste your time or money!!!

::MickeyMo Do you think it's possible that we're used to "Americanized" Italian food? If that makes sense and Alfredo's is actual "Italian." Because I know Alfredo's alfredo is unlike anywhere else. It's unbeatable. ::MinnieMo

If cold, soggy pasta and undercooked pizza dough, along with poor service and no refills of soft drinks is true italian...... then I guess you are right, I am too "Americanized"

::MickeyMo Well, we didn't have that experience. My pasta was fresh and al dente. Our server was excellent and we've gone for dinner, so I've never had the pizza. ::MinnieMo
