Dinner at 1900 Park Fare

Of course we are leaving in a few days, and as an afterthought decided to maybe try dinner on Monday night at 1900 Park fare. I called to get a PS but they are booked. Can you still go and "wait" for a table there?? I know you can at Chef Mickey's but I was not sure if other places did this or not.

It's me again....we had dinner there - we did have a PS, when we came out there were tons of families with kids laying all over the floor waiting to get in....
since it is a buffet I would not suggest waiting. The servers don't rush anyone and I know we took our time to really see all the characters and enjoy lots of food!!

You are following me this morning!! hehehehehe!!! I keep calling for cancelations, but since they do not charge your CC, people dont call to cancel which stinks. But I was thinking of getting there when dinner started to see if there would be a long wait, then take the time to walk around the resort. I love the Grand Floridian! It is beautiful!!

I will post all the pictures in my journal on ub when I get back! When are you posting yours!!!!

I agree with lillygator.... due to the popularity of this character meal, I wouldn't wait as it is always busy AND even with a PS, yu tend to have to wait!
Though if you really want to go, you migt find out what the earliest time is and see if they can get you in then..... but even that is iffy!

I'd call again once you are down in WDW. We've had luck getting PS's in the morning for dinner that same night. I think some people tend to cancel or change PS's the day of the meal. Once we ended up calling from a house phone in the MK at around 3:30PM for a PS at Chef Mickey's (they had been full as of that morning)and much to our surprise they had an opening. My advice... keep trying... you'll most likely get into whereever you want to eat.

We got in no problem last April without a PS. I called ahead and they were booked, but we went anyway. As soon as the door opened (5 ish???) I went right up to the counter, explained I didn't have a PS and asked about a table. She said "no problem" and sat us right that minute. She explained to be that they leave open 30% of the tables for walk ins or people without PS.
I agree that they do not rush you at all! We must have ate 10 courses..LOL Of course I didn't realized I was drinking 9.00 glasses of wine so that could be why she didn't rush us and kept offering another glass!
