Has anyone done it lately? And how was it?

We're staying on-site for 1 night before our Disney Cruise but I don't plan on going into the parks. I thought a Cinderella dinner might get our vacation started off the right way with my dd3 so was curious about the dinner at the GF. Looking for input on character interaction as well as food quality and choices (my in-laws might be coming with us).

Thanks!

We ate there on our first night back in September. We went there from our resort around 5 or so for dinner. The kids DD4 and DS1-had a great time. The food was good, the characters were fun and the atmosphere was nice. The buffet was fairly large, I think if I remember correctly that it was the same buffet choices on two sides. I know there were some pasta choices, a number of meat dishes, some cold items, and sides. We enjoyed the food. There was also a kids section and a dessert section with ice cream sundae making. We had a really nice start to our vacation and would definitely go back again. We aren't going this time because we want to try some other restaurants but will go again the time after this! Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

Terrible, we did it last week (pics and reviews are in my Jan link) and all of us disliked it so much food wise, never go back. The characters made the meal for us. How much salt do they have to use? Everything was so salty it was not edible

We were there on January 12th for dinner (5:30 reservation). Myself, hubby and our 13 year old son.

The restaurant is really pretty. And it was a great excuse to to see the GF in person.

Service was excellent (both the greeter who sat us and the server for our table were awesome). Lots of noise and excitement in the restaurant. Good food, lots of it, plenty for both picky and adventurous eaters alike. Everything was excellent quality, hot, and yummy.

Characters were a hoot, and really made the meal. Our server had brought out a king's crown for our son (he was celebrating a birthday), so Lady Tremaine came over and demanded to know which country he was from. When we told her we were from Canada, she made a big deal about deciding that "The King of Canada" would be the perfect husband for one of her two daughters. That led to Drizella and Anastasia making a big production about who would win his hand. Anastasia decided living in an ice castle in Canada would be right up her alley, and was his ice palace prettier than Cinderella's? And on and on they went.

The little girls who were dining there had a ball with Cinderella. She was very gentle with each of them. The stepsisters found one of the little girl's hairpieces from the BBB on the floor and made a big screetching show about finding a rat, and how properly to dispose of it. Too funny and had everyone laughing.

Peaceful, it was not!! :lmao: But very entertaining and very filling nonetheless.

At the end of the meal, our server brought our son out a birthday cupcake in a take-out container so he didn't have to scrimp on his selections at the dessert bar. I thought that was so kind.

All in all, it was a great time. We were very glad we went, and this is on our "do-again" list for the next trip. Funny, when we initially worried about whether or not this was a suitable place for two adults and a teenage boy.
