This will be our first time having dinner at 1900 Park Fair. Do alot of the girls go in their Princess dresses like they do at the Castle?

7 yr old doesnt want to be the only one not dressed....

Thanks

I'll be looking for the answers you get here too, since we are also having our first 1900 dinner in June.

DD6 and DS8 ARE getting dressed up (DS is going to be a power ranger - not really in keeping with the theme, but since his sister is dressing up he wants to too.)

I have also booked them Bibbidi Bobbidi appointments for before that dinner. We are bringing along their costumes since DD really loves Ariel as mermaid and I don't know if they have that one available. Not sure what exactly DS will look like - a "cool dude" power ranger, I guess. :lmao:

From our countdowns, it looks like our 1900 date may be your check in date. June 28?

Your are right we will be checking in on June 28th... We will be driving over from the West coast that morning. We have an ADR for 1900 that evening at 6:00pm

We went in January and there were very few kids dressed up..our nieces were not dressed up...full review and tons of pics in my January link...the interaction was amazing but the food was horrible

We've been to 1900 PF for dinner many times, and I've seen a few girls dressed up, but certainly not everyone.

Go for it. My DGD was dressed as Snow White when we went last year and Prince Charming asked her to dance with him.:lovestruc

Awwwwww - that's so sweet!

Our ressie is 7:30 (to fit that Bibbidi Bobbidi in before).

We were there in January. Many girls were dressed up, many others were not. No one in either group looked out of place :) .

We very much enjoyed the meal here. We thought the buffet was great, the service excellent, and the step-sisters....well, they were just a hoot. Despite the fact that we had no little girls in our party (which we kind of worried about), we had a wonderful time!!

NOT as many dress up at 1900 parkFare, as crt or akershus , I did see a handfull, but I say it's Disney world be princess and live it up DRESS UP!

We went in August and took the grand daughters (1yo and 3yo). We don't recall seeing any one dressed in a princess dress for dinner (excellent Cinderella). Our girls did not dress up. They had cute sun dresses on. We do plan to take them to Norway next month and think we will take the dresses there, esp. since that is all about the princesses and 1900 is more Cindi and family.

When we were there in October 2008 (for dinner @ 5:30 pm) I would say about 70% of the 8 and younger girls were dressed up. 8-12 maybe about 30%.

We go every year for breakfast and my daughter is always dressed like Alice. At dinner she wears her Ariel dress. Like others have said before some kids dress up and some don't but no one is out of place. The characters at both are great. We have had wonderful interactions. The food is hit or miss. Let them dress up and enjoy. The pictures will be priceless.

I have been to this dinner 3 times. I made Cinderella gowns for my daughter the first 2 times. On our second trip, Anastasia told me I should do hers next, so I did! When we returned in December, my daughter and her friend were dressed as Anastasia and Drizella. I was shocked to find the same Anastasia there, and she even remembered asking me to do her dress! I think it was our best Disney evening ever!

While you might not have stepsister costumes, it is still a lot of fun when the girls dress up. There are not as many dressed up as there are at CRT or Akershus, but it just gives them even more attention. This is one of the most PLAYFUL groups of characters, and they like to mess with the customers. If she's dressed like Cinderella, the stepsisters will probably play and tell her she should be back washing the dishes or something. It just adds a lot of fun (and looks great on camera!)

We are going in June and DD 9 will be dressed in the Jasmine costume her Grandma made. We don't expect many will be dressed up but don't really care and this sounds WAAAAYYYY easier to me than trying to lug it into a park for a meal.

Your 7 year old shouldn't worry -- there are plenty of girls dressed up (though as others have said, not everybody). I think the characters get more into it when a child is dressed up -- gives them something to quickly latch onto and start commenting about.

We were just there in March and our DD4 wore her yellow Belle gown. We saw quite a few girls dressed in their princess costumes.

The kids dressed in costumes are definetly in the minority, but they would absolutely not look out of place dressed up.princess:
