DINKs...any ideas?

Disney Including No Kids!

The first time my wife of 27 years and I have been to WDW as a couple...after 8 times...this is going to be so odd...

Restaurants? Shows? Long walks? Lounges? Ideas?

Just the way you've always done things. Because you still do have kids. The two of you.

Actually, what we did was to cut out a lot of the ride type attractions. We went to the Ecpot films without whining. We went to the American Adventure without whining. Same with the Hall of Presidents. We have a favorite band at Epcot so we could enjoy them all day instead of hearing them for one song and then being begged to move on "this is boring". We could look at menus and not have to make sure there was a burger on there. We could act stupid and silly without someone saying "Moooommm, you're embarrassing me!!" We could just sit on a bench for a while and not get bugged "et's go, let's go".

It wasn't that we did more stuff. It was that we did less stuff. And enjoyed ourselves just as much if not better.

Congratulations! DH and I went last September as 1st time DINKS. I think the best part was smiling at all the parents waiting in line with their kids for autographs. I think I must have spent a month of my life in those lines over the previous 7 trips. Seriously, it's really nice to be able to ride a ride with each other instead of splitting up with the kids. Things like Splash Mountain and the Haunted Mansion were fun to cuddle up on and we found out we still really enjoyed each other's company. A lot more TS meals were included on our trip (I think seating for two is easier to find at most TS places) and our scheduling was a little looser even though I'm a planner by nature. Everybody is different but I'm positive you will have a wonderful time, just the two of you. Enjoy.
