Dining without the kids, let's get adventurous!

My hubby and I are taking a 9 day trip to WDW in Aug to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary, we are going WITHOUT the kids and staying at the Poly.

This trip we are going without a dining plan and since the two of us are ore flexible than our whole family of 5 we are thinking of doing 2 or 3 sit down meals and then everything else quick serve. We want to do some interesting meals, no character meals. What would YOU do if you were going on a similar trip?

So far we are considering:

Sanaa (our whole family LOVES Boma but we have never tried Sanaa)
BOG (if I can get it, our kids wouldn't like the food here but we would)

We want to try Trader Sam's and Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar

If it were me, I'd basically hang out at Disney Springs and eat the yummies there. Morimoto and The Boathouse both look amazing. Could also add California Grill to the mix. I haven't been yet (got our ADR for February) but I hear the food is delicious.

Yes for Sanaa. California Grill when when Wishes happens sometimes during the meal. Jiko? We are definitely trying Morimoto's when we go next year.

Sanaa and/or Jiko would both be on our list (and are for our upcoming trip).

Why not do something like Dine with an Imagineer at HBD? It's a real nice lunch with good conversation.

All great suggestions but I guess I should have mentioned we are not really fish eaters and I am vegetarian go vegan mostly.

The chopped Cobb at Hollywood Brown Derby is good. Other than that, I've always had meat at the signatures.

I would agree with both of your choices (BOG and Sanaa), but I definitely recommend Sanaa. My husband and I have no children, and we frequest Disney World pretty often. Sanaa is one of our favorite places to eat and enjoy the experience.
