I am going to Disney in May and will have a 4 and 2 year old. There are also 4 adults. I am trying to decide between the Sci Fi Dine In Theatre or 50s Prime Time Diner at Hollywood Studios. Which one??

I don't have experience with either. Just wanted to say you might have better luck trying this on the restaurants board. :-)

I would pick Prime Time Café. Sci-Fi is dark-ish with old B-movie trailers playing -- not really too scary, but might frighten a small child. Also, the seating is mostly in rows of 2, like front seat/back seat of a car. I think the food at PTC is pretty good homestyle cooking - meatloaf, pot roast, fried chicken and the PB&J milkshakes are delicious! I think there is more food that will please a big group at PTC. Also, the atmosphere is fun if you have a server who is really into character and makes the parents finish their green beans and such.

I'd recommend the 50 time prime... I think I ate at the sci-fi, but it didn't make a lasting impression if I did. Neither is especially for kids, but I think the parents will get more of a kick out of the 50's prime time, and my daughter watched the (old) cartoons that were playing on all the old tv sets.

You know my kids were pretty easy going and not scared by anything really. We took them to Sci Fi at that age and the movies freaked them out so bad we had to leave.

My 3 year old loved sci go because he was eating in a car!!! He loves cars and thought it was the best thing ever. His (sensitive) older brother was bothered by some of the movie trailers a bit. Neither one had any idea what a drive in theater was. :)
