We are going to DW October 21-26. We want to do a CD for my DS 7th birthday. I have read that the CP is a great place to go before the park opens. Will a CM help me with finding out the best day to go before the park opens.

No when you call they want to know what day and time you want to eat there. Crystal Palace has Winnie the Pooh and Tigger and is located inside MK so you will only be able to eat there as early as the park opens. If you want to find out which day is EMH in the morning so that you can go to breakfast before everyone starts entering the park you can go to disney's website and checkout the calendar for dates and times.

I didnt think MK was different than the other parks but we have an 8:10 character meal for H&V at MGM and the park does not open until 9 that day. For this upcoming trip we ar not there on any days that MGM has EMH am hours but we will be allowed in as long as we have a park ticket, we go in through security and then eat. I mean you have to make ADRs beforehand, I dont think you can just show up and say I want to eat there.

I guess I am confused by your post. Could be I am still working on my caffeine this morning:cool2:

You can eat in the park before it opens. The only thing is, they will not let you in the park unless you have your ressie comfirmation number in hand and or your name appears on their list at the front gate. You will have to enter at a seperate turn stile.

FYI, It is also a great photo op...pic's of the castle without anyone around!

This can be done at all of the parks not just MK. JUST MAKE SURE YOUR HAVE YOUR CONFIRMATION #...VERY IMPORTANT!

OP: When I made my ADR's for our last trip I completely forgot to grab my EHM paper, the CM who was helping me on the phone was great and had all the info I needed. But before you decide what day to go, I would suggest finding out about EMH both morning and evening. Then I would decide based on that. If you have park hoppers it wont be a big issue, but on days with EMH's the parks get pretty busy about noon or so, and that is when we would go ahead and find another park for the day.

We have not made our ADR yet, but we are going to. I would like to make if for around 8:30 am and the day does not matter to us (Oct 20-26). So as long as I have the confirmation number they will let us in and we can get some great photos. We are also staying at the All Star Movie and we have the hopper pass.

I found two different sites with two different EMH, so I am not sure which one to use.
Thanks for all your help..This is my first time to WDW. I just want it to be enjoyable for the whole family.

You'll be fine! Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time for transportation from your resort...and you can check in I think up to 20 minutes early...have fun!!!
