Would love to hear from anyone who has done this. Do you need reservations? how close to you get to Shamu? What is the food like?
Many thanks!

We did it last summer. The food was nothing great, but okay. It was a buffet (not much to choose from) but the show was excellent. You sit at individual tables that surround Shamu's lagoon. You have great seat if you are right along the rail, but you will get wet. Yes, you will need reservations.

We did this 2 summers ago. I agree with previous poster about the food - nothing special so I wouldn't do it for food quality for sure. but this was one of our daughters' favorite memories of our trip. We did have seats right by the railing - kids could ask any and all questions they wanted. Interesting learning about the trainers also. We got discounted tickets for the dinner through AAA.

Previous poster also right about getting wet -- right after I brought dessert to our table - SPLASH! All in all we thought a nice way to relax and escape the heat.
