My DD is totally into Mulan. I have been reading that she is at the Norway Princess Breakfast. Is that the only place to dine with her and is she at every breakfast?
We did the dinner there in December and she wasn't there. We went to China to look for her and we were told that she went home. My DD cried and has been talking about eating with her/seeing her every day since we left.
Any suggestions to ensure we see Mulan as I am starting to plan our next trip?

At Epcot there is a princess breakfast in Norway. Last year was our 2nd time going and we had a great experience there. THe characters were great!!! I think that is the only place where you can have a character breakfast/lunch/dinner with her. I may be mistaken though. They have different characters each time. The first time that I was there with my family Mulan was there as well, along with Belle, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty. http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_psb.htm

Sorry if this doesn't help you.

Sorry, but I don't think Mulan is at the Norway character meals. She makes appearances in China, but I had the same experience as you on my last trip. She wasn't there the day we were there. :sad2:

we hung around waiting for her to show up at China last year. we were told "soon" a bunch of times. we finally gave up.

i think the storybook dining at Norway is hit or miss. I don't think there are any guarantees. I've read about a character hotline that CM's can call- maybe do a search for more details on that?

good luck!

Out of the six times we've eaten at PSB Norway in Epcot, we saw Mulan 5 times.

Four of the times were at breakfast and one time was at lunch.

The one time we didn't see her there was at lunch. We had Cinderella instead! :goodvibes

The time we saw her at PSB at lunch, after our meal we then walked over to China and there she was with Mushu (and it was the SAME girl). Too funny!

Yes, Mulan is at the Norway Breakfast. We saw her there at breakfast in February.

She was at the Norway breakfast when we went, we have also seen her in the WS at Epcot with the red dragon...sorry forget the name

Two Norway character breakfasts; two times seeing Mulan there.

She is also in the China pavilion from time to time and we have seen her near the IG a couple times (a wide variety of characters show up there from time to time in the afternoon, but it is somewhat hit and miss as to who you will run into).

one time I saw her at Breakfast at Norway. I have always just seen her at the China Pavilion. She is actually a really nice princess (we've always seen the same one)

Thanks so much for all your help:love:

Sounds like the breakfast may be a good shot. I will have to check into the character hotline.

Thanks Again!

She was there for breakfast Saturday 3/1... Belle was the meet/greet photo... Mulan was touring the tables along with Snow White, Mary Poppins and Alice.

We saw Mulan at the Norway Character Breakfast in May last year.

I have also seen Mulan in China a lot. I also saw her once near the international gateway between France and England. She just appeared with two other princesses.

I know your daughter's pain. I have a Mushu obsession. I once went to three parks in one day looking for Mushu. When I finally found him I told him I had been looking for him. He took a long time writing in my autograph book and when I read it it said he was sorry he had missed me but he was out saving China! So cute!

Anyway, as far as the character hotline is concerned you can check with any CM near a phone and they can call a character hotline and find out where Mulan might be that day. This will work at any park, ie you can ask someone in MK and they can find out where she will be even if she will be in Epcot.

My suggestion is first thing every morning check with the Guest Relations office in whichever park you go to and see if she will be out that day. They have a tendancy to say, well not right now but check back in a few hours. So you may end up checking in a lot.

My last suggestion is to call the restaurant directly, there is a thread on here somewhere that has all of the restaurant numbers - I think it's in the cake thread. Tell them how much your daughter loves Mulan. Tell them the day you have your breakfast ressie. Tell them about what happened in December and how your DD has been talking about it ever since. You never know what could happen, this is the year of a Million Dreams.

As an anecdote, last year we wanted to see Jiminy Cricket. We'd heard that he'd been out and about in AK. My mother loves Jiminy and when we checked in at Guest Relations that morning in MK to check on the character hotline we were told to wait. The CM was gone for a while but then she came back and we were whisked away behind stage in a Disney van over to AK to see Jiminy. We didn't have a park hopper for that day and we got to the park at noon so we didn't want to pay for another ticket. So you never know, dreams can come true.

And if you do call and tell them all of this ahead of time, I would try to stop in at Guest Relations, preferably, a day before your ressie and remind them of your request. The princesses work on a rotation at Norway, I think the only guarentee is Belle so if they have a reason to rotate Mulan in, I bet they would do it.

We've eaten both dinner and breakfast at Akershus (Norway, Epcot) a total of 6 times and seen Mulan every time. I would say this is your best bet! Make the ARD early in your trip, that way if for some reason you miss her, you can try to track her down in China!

Have fun!

My DD is adopted from China and loves Mulan. We've seen her both at the China pavillion and during breakfast in Norway. Both times, "Mulan" spent a nice amount of time with my DD and really made her day.

HdnMickeyGrl-

Thanks for such an informative post. We ate in Norway the first night of our trip with no Mulan:sad1: If I had foresight, I would have done everything differently. My DD fell ill the next night and we spent the rest of our vacation at Florida Hospital and in our OKW vacation home. My DD was out of it and at the end of our trip didn't understand why we didn't get to meet Mulan and go to the parks. I want to plan the best trip ever for her since the last trip was so trying on all of us. The CM's of MK were so wonderful as we had to be ambulanced out of MK.
I am trying my best to find a way to dine with Mulan. Thank you to everyone for your help:flower3:
