We just found out that we will be at MK for one day when our friends will also be there. We are staying 2 nights at Boardwalk before a Disney Cruise; they are staying 7 nights at Wyndham/Downtown Disney area. We are doing MK with them (we have one day left on park hopper from last time) and MAY end up doing Epcot for a minute that night if everyone is up for it.

What are people's suggestions on dinner for us-- between us, :earsboy: we have 2 four year olds, and two six year olds. We do enjoy a nice dinner, but DON'T want to be in a situation that would not be appropriate for four tired kids. Also, need to consider where I might find seating now that would not be full, since we are now less than 60 days out....

Any ideas from you experts? :earsboy:

What about a character meal? There are 2 at the MK and one at Epcot.

The character dinner at the Liberty Tree in MK is Great and the menu is burgers and such. :cool1:

The character meal at LLT is not burgers it is Flank Steak Turkey and Ham served family style with sides of gravy, Mashed potatoes. stuffing Mac and cheese and a veggie. A salad with a strawberry vinaigrette rolls with honey butter and an apple cobbler for dessert.

I had a Great Burger there! But that may have not been the Character dinner. The point is it's continental fare, nothing strange, the kids loved it. What the heck is Flank Steak anyway, is it fancy hamburger meat?

I'd try to get ADR for Liberty Tree Tavern. I think the kids and adults in your party would really enjoy the food and characters.

No, it's a great (and relatively cheap) cut of meat. It's usually marinated to break down the "tough" fibers, then grilled or broiled and served in slices. If you slice it on the diagonal you'll get the most tender slices. We grill a flank steak at least once a week during the summer months - there are lots of great marinades to try. The one at the Liberty Tree Tavern is very good, although we like ours a little more rare than they serve it.

Ohanas all the way. Good food...lots of it...fun for the kids....great if Mom or Dad need to be excused to take kids for a quick walk around to look at things. Easy to get to also. Price fixed as to not break the bank.

I Love the "BY LINE" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Thanks for the info. I am guessing it is like the Bar "B" Q met on a stick I get at my local Chineese Rest. here. That is good stuff. I'll be sure to try it.
Cheers

You could take the boat to Wilderness Lodge and eat at Whispering Canyon Cafe. That's always fun for kids.

I agree!! We did this for a late (2:45) lunch for my dd's birthday. It was empty and wonderful. They had lincoln logs and hobby horses that my ds9 and ds6 loved. We got the all you can eat skillet. The kids loved the ribs and chicken and ate more corn bread then I've ever seen any human consume at one sitting. The boat ride was icing on the cake.

Have a great trip.
