Hi all....maybe someone could help me out and ease my mind....

We have planned a last minute trip August 27-31....ds will be 9 at the time but turn 10 the second week in September. We will also be bringing ds's friend who is also 9 but "looks" about 12. With researching the dining plan threads and rest board I am starting to get worried I will have to PROVE these boys are actually 9! Like I said the friend actually just turned 9 in June but looks much older.

I am especially worried about buffets and character meals as there is really not a kids menu. IF anything what has been the experience with this age group at the character meals etc....any CM asking to prove it or was it a non-issue??

Thanks for any insight, help , or experiences!!

Honestly, you probably won't have any problem. I am a little neurotic about that sort of thing though.... That being said, when DD8 was 35 months, we took her to WDW. She was very tall and very verbal--still is. Nobody who met her believed that she wasn't yet three. Most people guessed four. I was very nervous about CMs insisting that I buy DD a ticket or pay for her meal. So, I made a copy of her birth certificate, and reduced it so it was like 1/4 of a page (it's only 1/2 a page to begin with). I simply stuck it in my wallet. I felt so much more comfortable not having to worry about that. If you have easy access to the birth certificates and a copier--it's easy peace of mind.

If not, don't worry. No one ever did question DD or me or DH. And like I said, I'm a little crazy about this sort of stuff...

Enjoy your trip!!

Hi ...

Just giving this a bump to see if anyone else has any input.

Thanks! :)

You shouldn't have a problem. Your key/card you will pay with will have the number of adults and number on children on it (ie. 2A, 2C) As long as you have the right number of people, they will go by what is on the card. If you and one of the kids are the only ones eating, you might get questioned, but if you just state which credits you are using, they should be fine with that and bill for those credits. But if you will always be eating together, they will bill you for 2A and 2C, or whatever your card says. The key, of course, is given to you at check-in, so if there is anywhere where they will want to verify ages, it would be at check-in, but I doubt they will ask there. Hope that eases your fears! :goodvibes

Thanks for the reply's so far! I do want to mention , however, that we won't be on any dining plan so I guess the only thing that will have their ages will be their actual park tickets. No dining credits etc.

Thanks again.
