Hi Guys

We are thinking of taking our little boy for lunch/dinner at the T-Rex Restaurant in Downtown Disney.

I have been trying for sometime to make an advanced reservation via the online booking system, but with no success.

Would we be ok with a walk in reservation - we would probably avoid the busier times of day !

I tried the same thing in December and had the same problems.


I did manage to book whilst in Orlando though without any problems even when booking for 11

Just keep trying and if all else fails go up to the desk a few days before you want to dine and ask if they have a table for you on the date and time you prefer but be a little flexible. Good Luck

We just got a walk up reservation with no problems. To kill time we looked around the shops as we did have to wait a while.

We rang them to make our reservation and were told that they only booked about a third of the restaurant out to advance bookings, the rest are saved for walk-ups.

With you saying that you don't plan on going during a busy period I would stick to a walk up. We have done this for lunch time, going to the desk at around 11.30, and have been seated straight away.

We went last week, peek time around 7pm, had a 1 hour wait. Avoid peek times and you shouldn't have much wait without a reservation.

I just called this week directly and I was able to get a reservation. Doesn't hurt to try. When are you going?

We could not get a ressie online but once we called a CM they got us right in - can't hurt to make the call.

I do not think that they take the dining plan - but I could be wrong.

So weird I've been trying today as well.. I kept thinking "It can't be this popular". You don't even hear that much about it. I think I'll try to get a ressie a few days before we want to eat there.

We went for lunch on day and easily got a table straight the way! It's a great place, we loved it! Enjoy.

Does the voucher for Rainforest Cafe also apply in T-Rex?
Which do you guys think is better of the two theme-wise?
Have they the same menu?

I called Disney last night and got no availability my whole 2 week stay in October.

I called back about an hour ago and could only get a 9pm .

I just this very minute saw this and called dierct and I got my first choice date and a 7pm time !!!




My DS is gonnae be soooooo happy, thank you Pegasus !!

This is where we want to eat on Halloween, so am desperate to book in case we can't get in, would you say that they would only take bookings 180 days out (which is next tues, i beleive) or would i be ok calling this week?

If I was you I would I would give calling them a go. What do you have to lose?
If you are too early they will tell you, and they will probably tell you when you can call so that you have a 'heads up'
