dining with child under 3

We will be going to WDW for the first time ever in dec 2006.My DD will be a little over 2 1/2 and I read somewhere that she eats for free in some of the restaurants..is this so? Would she have to pay at CRT if we went? TIA

Children under 3 do eat free if it is a buffet. Children under 3 are welcome to share off of the parents plate if it is not a buffet. If you order an entree for your child, you willl be charged for it. Congratulations on your first trip to Disney!! It will be an unforgetable experience!

CRT is an All You Care to Eat Brought Table Side meal, so no I don't believe you would have to pay for a child under 3. Don't forget this meal is very hard to get Advance Reservations for but is necessary if you plan to go.

Last Sept., we had lunch at CRT. DD was 14 mo. and was served a child's appetizer plate, buttered noodles, milk, and a kid's dessert for free. We weren't expecting anything, so it was a nice surprise!

What meal are you thinking?

we went with ds for bkfst. They give each table a basket of fruit and a basket of bread/pastries. Each paying person got a hot plate of food. They brought ds a complimentary plate of french toast sticks. They also brought him milk and didnt charge us.

I want to take her to CRT for breakfast, CP for lunch one day and to Ohana's one day--thats as far as I have gotten thru the restaurants--we are going for 7 days and am trying to figure out ADR's...am just overwhelmed!

Also, if you go somewhere like Whispering Canyon that serves an all you can eat skillet, your DD can also eat off of the skillet for free. If you have any questions, please ask me!
