I am helping my friend plan her trip this Jan. with her extended family. They will have 9 people total, 6 adults, 3 kids. We may be going that month as well and for the first time will have a group of 8, 5 adults, 3 kids. Which restaurants can seat us together. (Not both large groups; we are not traveling together) I'm sure some places handle large groups better than others. Any input from those of you with expirience would be appreciated!

In May, my family was a group of 8.
We were seated at one large table for dinner at each of the following:

Chef Mickey's
Crystal Palace
Whispering Canyon
Hollywood & Vine
1900 Park Fare
LTT
O'Hana (breakfast)

In fact, this was every TS restaurant we ate at. No problem!

*We were lucky enough to get a large, round table at all of them (except H&V), which I love because then we can all see/hear/speak with each other.

we've traveled the past 3 or so years with a party of 8 and never had a problem with seating. Occasionally they've had to split us into 2 tables -- Coral Reef immediately comes to mind b/c the tables were not even close to eachother! :confused3 Anyway, I really can't think of another time we were seated seperately. When I've called to make PS the CM has suggested that we may be seated at 2 tables but it hasn't really happened.

We've dined at Chef Mickey, Coral Reef, Nine Dragons, 1900 Park Fare, Doanld's Breakfastosaurus, Crystal Palace, and Alfredo's to name a few.

We haven't had a problem except at Le Cellier for a group of 10.

As a party of 9, we were seated together at one table at Chef Mickeys, Whispering Canyon, Le Cellier, Crystal Palace & CRT. :thumbsup2

we are a group of nine and didn't have any problems BUT I always arrived early 30-15 mins early) and said I would wait until tables were together. but we never even had to wait to our ADR time for two to be together.

We were a group of 7 and we were seated together (very closely) at Tony's in the MK and at the Coral Reef at Epcot. Kona and Crystal Palace also both said they could get us at one table
