A question please. We are not on the free dinning plan (DVC members and not paying out of pocket this time). One reason is we have a 3 year old who is not much of a eater, and it seems silly to waste so much food.

If my 3 year old is not hungry, can a 3 year old eat off my plate or not at all, if we are NOT on the dinning plan. Don't get me wrong there will be many times he will order a meal but not every meal, or are they going to make us order a meal for him because he is 3 and at the table.

Yes, he can eat off of your plate as long as it's not a buffet. You would have to pay for him at any of the buffets or character meals.

As long as you're not at a buffet, there should be no problem sharing with your 3 year-old. Many restaurants will give you an extra plate or even divide the meal for you. For example, when my DS was 3 and we went to SciFi Drive-In, I mentioned to the waiter that I was going to share my burger and fries with my DS. Without even asking, he brought out two plates with the meal already divided. We've divided milkshakes at the Plaza, too.

You can also always ask if you can order a side dish or something a al carte for your DS. 3 years olds can either be ravenous or eat two raisins and be full :rotfl: but we've always had good luck at WDW with sharing with children.
