I'm going to put together a trip report but wanted to let everyone know that we had a great experience with my son's Soy/Nut allergies at Disney. No problems with counter service at the parks - ingredients were available for checking ( also at the popcorn stand ). We also did sit-downs at Boma, Chef Mickey and O'Hanas Dinner - the chefs came out talked to us and made sure we knew what he could/couldn't have - at O'Hanas, the Chef (Seth) made the meats and some mashed potatoes special for him. Everything worked out great - let me know if anyone has any questions.

Thanks, from another red bird and fellow nut allergic person!

Just wondering if you called ahead of time to the phone# you call for dietary assistance a week before you went? Did you eat any place else? Where did they have the ingredients listed for the counter service? Sorry so many questions but were going in October and my 5y.o. DD has a severe peanut allergy.

Samnbilly,

This was our third trip to WDW but our first with the "new" soy allergy. We didn't call ahead but did make mention of the allergies when making the priority seatings - also when checking in for the PS reminded them about the allergies. Those were the only 3 I had PS's for but we were there for 12 days, so we ate at a variety of service counters ( for example - Cosmic Rays, Pecos Bills, etc.. in the MK - Backlot in MGM, Pizzafari in AK, Electric Umbrella in Epcot etc..) Plus we stayed at AKL and the CR so we ate at Mara and Food N Fun. All you need to do is go up to the counter and ask to see the ingredients book because you have a child with an allergy. They usually had a binder with the item and its ingredients. Even at the popcorn stand - my wife saw one with no customers so she went over and asked the CM about ingredients - she pulled out all the info on the oil, brand etc... My son is very set in his "regular" foods and he dined on the chicken tenders and fries all week.
