Dining vouchers?

Is it better to prepay to get premium dining vouchers through getaway or aries, or should I wait to pay at the parks?

Also, could someone who has used the vouchers tell me how it works once you get to the restaurant? Do you just present the vouchers at the register, and do you need any ID to show kids ages etc.?

It depends.
1) Making sure you are aware they are for Ariels or Goofys only.
2) If you are going during higher priced peak season yes.
3) If not it may save a few dollars since the voucher includes tax and tip.

You just present the vouchers at the restaurant and are ready to go. Everything is covered.

We actually LOST money pre-paying for our Goofy's Kitchen dinner last week due to the fact that the price varies on-site depending on the season. If you're going during "low" season (somebody else maybe can define the dates for this) don't pay more than $31.99 for adults - that's what they were charging at the restaurant. I had paid $34.99 plus tax for my vouchers, which BTW, I had to take to the front desk (check in, not guest services) at the DLH to be converted into a ticket-type-of-thing. They would not redeem the vouchers directly at the restaurant.

That's odd about Goofy's not taking the vouchers, they did for us.

If the vouchers are just for a character meal, yes it can save you money. But like PP have said, make sure what you paid for the vouchers is at least equal to what the resturant is charging. If the voucher is a dollar amount, I'ld pass. Yes, you use the voucher like money, but with real money you get change back, the voucher is an "all in" thing. If you buy a soda and use a $5 USD, you get change back, not so with a $5 voucher.
