Dining Vouchers at other Disneyland Dining locations

Can you still use the Character meal vouchers at other locations in Disneyland? Are there only certain places that accept these? I don't imagine the small food carts do. Can anyone tell me what your recent experience in using these has been? I know in the past you could use them for their dollar value, but not get change back. I'm just checking to see if this is still allowed.

You can use them at any TS or QS restaurant for the face value...not the carts as you suspected. You still do not get any change back.

We have used ours for lunch at the Cove in DCA and in Blue Bayou.
You do not get change back but Blue Bayou is one of those places out of my budget so I would not have eaten there (I tend to be a cheapskate).
It gives you a reason to spend a little more for dinner and not think about that new Mickey shirt you want to get....LOL
