Dinners were: Jiko(2x), Bluezoo, Bistro de Paris, and Citricos
Lunches were: Portabello YC, Rose and Crown, Fulton's, and Kona Cafe
Breakfast : Spoodles and Boma
Jiko is still one of our favs. We had full meal the first night. Short ribs were better than the filet. Bluezoo was better this time for us. Decent service and good seafood. Atmosphere is just wierd. Loud and drunk convention salesmen in the bar do not help. Bistro was magnificent. We did the tasting menu. Incredible flavors and service. The table by the window was perfect. I wish we timed it for Illuminations. Allow 2+hours for dining here. Come hungry and ready for good food, wine and superior service. I would not come for an iced tea and a salad. Go elsewhere. Citricos was our first time and another very good meal. The shrimp and lump crab appetizers cannot be missed. We will go back and sit at the bar just to order these with some wine.
Portabello is usually a solid lunch. They seemed to have trimmed down the menu a bit. But is was ok for a quick and easy lunch. We just had the cheese plate at R&C, but it was very good. I was kind of suprised. Kona cafe was better than I remember. Kona's wasabi mary is awesome for a pick me up. 2 adults should each get the shrimp and curry soup(yum) and split the Kona club sandwich. It was huge and I am a big eater and could not finish it. Fultons was alright again. We order things we knew we should not. Caesar salad seems to have gone down in quality. Lobster bisque was good, but nothing special. We usually just sit outside the bar and get beer and oysters and crab claws. We should have stuck to that.
Spoodles breakfast was ok. Nothing special, but it got the job down like most WDW breakfast spots. Boma was good as always. I love the selection and wish I could get more of my moneys worth, but who could eat that much food to start off the day. I will go back just for that west african breakfast juice and the sausage hash.
We used DDE and saved a ton of money on just 2 people.
We made an ADR for Bistro, which was smart even though the restaurant did not fill up. We got into everywhere else by just walking in and waiting at most 10 minutes. Gotta love January.
