I'm currently on the Jun25 cruise and got some interesting dining comments from our server tonight.
We were sitting back and laughing with our server after he did another of his magic tricks for the kids at our table. We asked him off hand if he always did tricks for his guests. His response was interesting. "Well, you're an 'easy' table. With you guys, I have time to do tricks and stuff." We were curious about the answer and asked him to elaborate.
Basically, we weren't too demanding as far as getting things just right, running around getting this and that. He said he hasn't had time to do much entertaining on the West Coast cruises. The people seem to be more demanding when it comes to service. He thought it was because people on the West coast dine out more, so they know good service and their expectations are higher. He said they have to work really hard now because they don't want to claim to have good service and not provide it. With people on the East coast, he said you put the food on the table and they're happy. Interesting.
