Typically, on 3 night cruises, since there's no dedicated Pirate menu served, they just wear whatever costumes they would usually wear.

I too was on a 4-night with a dedicated Pirate Night/Pirate Night menu.

I would have had no idea. I can't remember too well about a lot of stuff in 2007 and 2011. But, I do remember that dessert buffet. I'm salty about that!

On our October cruise on the Treasure, there was quite a variety. Everything from gowns and tuxedos to shorts and t-shirts. The dress code on formal and semi-formal nights is no longer enforced.

Generally, the only dress code in the Main Dining Rooms is "no swimwear or tank tops" for most nights. There is an optional "dress up" night on some cruises: optional dress-up night—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women, but you're not held to it.

As noted, you'll see all manner of dress from full on formal to shorts & tee-shirts.
