How does the dining rotation work on the 4 day Wonder? Do you repeat whatever you had on the first day? We are trying to plan Palo and are not sure what night to do it for.

Thanks!

To answer your question: yes.

You could do both - book Palo either before or after your regular rotation so you don't miss anything and/or can still eat with your companions (just eat very lightly) OR do the brunch instead of the dinner (on your At Sea day)! Some people do the brunch AND the dinner. :faint: It is worthwhile whatever you decide.

On the 4 night, you'll repeat the same dining room that you had on your first night, but it's a different menu. I believe it's called the Master Chef or The Best of. You can view whats offered on the the www.dcltribute.com website. Just click on menu's and then select the 4 night. Palo's brunch is served on your last day, which is the sea day. As to the other restaurants, I really enjoyed the light show at Animators Palate and wouldn't want to miss that (only shown on the first night if you have the APLA rotation). Lunch is served in Parrots Cay and Tritons/Lumieres, so if you wanted to skip one of those for dinner, you could still enjoy a meal there.

Tammi, from another MA DISer, thanks for including your Trip Report, it was fun to read and brought me back to the Wonder this morning while I drank my coffee - you don't know how much I needed that! :sunny: I am also an early riser while on vacation :hyper: and do a mile walk on Deck 4 before dawn - nothing like it!

Your report flowed really nicely and was very well written, definitely a keeper! (I don't know if you do this but when I write a report I usually print it out, place each page in a sheet cover, and place it in my three ring photo album; that way the kids can have it forever, so even if they don't remember details from memory they can relive their wonderful trip through their Mom's writing).

So you didn't rebook the 7 night while you were onboard?? :confused3 :boat:

Is it just me or are all the main courses in every restaurant
the same-just the location changes?

Thank you, Tammi! That's exactly what I needed to know. Now I've got to give the information to the rest of the crew and see what they want to do. (We are a family reunion - MIL and FIL's 50th anniversary with 8 adult kids/kids-in-law and 9 grandkids - age 22 to 2!)

The AP "show" will be the first night in that restaurant whatever night you are there. So if you start in PC, it will be the third night of your cruise. They don't rerun it if you eat in the restaurant on a subsequent night (i.e. Chef's night).

While we really enjoyed the "show," I would caution you to have reasonable expectations for it. There have been a lot of people disappointed that it wasn't more of a show - its a subtle change over time in palate and an ever changing montage of stills in "picture frames" set to Disney theme music.

Wow Julie. That sounds like it's going to be a terrific cruise. Just an FYI, to make sure that all your reservations are linked together. That way you'll get the same dining rotation, seating and tables. My cousin was on board with her family during our cruise and it was difficult to plan times for everyone to be together. The kids had a blast going off on their own and we would do what we're comfortable with, but it was nice having that planned dinner every evening. It ususally spilled over into drinks afterwards as the kids went back to the clubs or the movies, so it worked out well for everyone.

Linda, I hadn't even thought of printing out my trip report. Thanks for the tip. DH was still a little nervous about committing to a 7 night cruise, so we're taking baby steps. He and I have a 4 night cruise planned for early January. If he enjoys the sea day, then I'll know it's okay to book the 7 night.
